They have a scarcity mindset. Can you believe people like pp wouldn’t correct her daughter? Trump and the GOP are so slick. They’ll have you blaming everyone else for your problems, which were created but Trump and the GOP. Americans are selfish, shortsighted suckers. Sad. |
Agree. That’s a sound normal number. |
I love people pulling statistics out of their @ss. Very Trumpian. |
+1. This is not opening up the wait list for a few more American kids. This is aimed at much larger destruction of places like Harvard and other top institutions. If your intent is to get a Harvard level education and Harvard is destroyed, you're going to have to go elsewhere and get on that wait list. |
China has been stealing our technology at my Division I college. An entire ring of Chinese students were arrested. Some had been in the US for many years stealing from us. |
Lol. I love when people support their opinions with hypothetical far fetched fantasies. Move along... |
They don't realize that the next step will be to say that H has too many women students and so on. Why should it stop with just the international students? |
+1. Why should they need to worry their pretty little heads about getting a top quality higher education? |
Hello. We are all thinking this. |
| There will be literally no impact. |

If this helps: in the NYT times today, list of % of students that are international at US universities. You can look at undergrad and grad student % separately. Harvard is not in the top 25 for either undergrad or grad. As I suspected, the schools with the most international students at a grad level are mid-tier STEM-focused schools, many in or near urban areas. They need the international students because there simply aren’t enough US citizens applying to these programs. That grad school tuition helps subsidize the US student tuition (especially for undergrads).

But the #1 university for undergrad is Illinois Tech, with about 50% international. Number 1 for grad is Stevens, at 88(!)%. |
If you are ok with mediocre average universities, yes, aim for 10% international students. If you want the best of the best, you should attract and enroll many more than 10%. Your choice. |
| maybe they go to actually non race based admissions. none of that race identifying personal experience essay crap |
Ok Maga. Go get Illinois Tech before they completely destroy our national security. |
