My RE assessment just went up by an absurd amount. They couldn't have put any of my extra dollars to work to hire some guys down at home depot to clear snow? Is the plan to just stay closed indefinitely until Spring?

I've been driving around today. Roads and schools are already cleared. This is ridiculous.

Ours aren't.

Address. I don't believe you.

Ridiculous.

There are only 2 snow days built into the calendar

They need to take away those waste of time professional days for teachers starting with 1/29.

Professional days were necessary when teachers didn't have an app. Now, they should be keeping their grades up to date on a day to day basis. Taking away professional days would encourage this habit.

My mother was a teacher and didn't need professional days to keep grades up to date.

I just took 2 weeks off enjoying my kids. I have a job to get back to! We're on week 3 of break now.

So get back to work. Arrange childcare if you need it. Enjoy!

Am personally happy about this. Our driveway still needs to be dealt with (we have been busy) and I enjoy having my kids around.

Maybe under different circumstances, I would not be happy.

Childcare? I pay for it, but it's closed too.

I think it's worth asking why there doesn't seem to be a shortage of plows in the private sector. The shopping center lots have been fully cleared for 12 hours near me. It seems like this is not a service that is difficult to procure privately. Are upcounty HOAs struggling to get their private streets plowed?

I call the entire week closed and it’s just ridiculous.

So was mine, she had much less to do than teachers today, and still sometimes stayed up until 1 am grading. She said she never would have become a teacher under the working conditions that exist today.

Like Ohio, where a snow plow flipped over?
