Same. So much fresher and softer, too. |

I wash mine and my kids all the time.
People are so gross. |
NP. I would contact the company if you followed directions from the label. Some are shockingly helpful! And others -- e.g., Arc'teryx -- will do repair checks or have a service where they'll wash your coat for you. Fwiw, I thought I had trouble w/my Patagonia losing its waterproofing. I wash machine-washing on cold and hanging to dry. A Patagonia rep let me know that putting it in the dryer would restore the DWR. And it did! |
| I wash my winter coats at the end of the season and during the season when I spill coffee on myself. I don’t wash my raincoat. |
|
I wash all my coats at least once a year. The ones that can go in the washing machine, I do myself. The others get dry cleaned at end of the season.
Riding the subway in the winter in NYC, there is so much odor coming from people's disgustingly dirty coats.... |
|
I wash my kids' coats/hoodies weekly, but my own only get washed at the end of the season. My nice wool coat gets drycleaned once every few years, but I only wear it about 3 times a year.
If you wash those puffy coats too often they lose all warmth! They aren't coming in direct contact with skin, so I don't see why an adult needs to wash them more than 1-2 times a season. |
You hand wash an ankle length wool coat? I cannot even imagine how heavy and awkward that is. |
Isn't it crazy? There are a few bagel places with terrible ventilation and even my hair smells afterwards. I vote with my wallet and don't go to those places. |
That smell is not the coats… |
| You only have 1 winter jacket? |
Yes, I am super curious how this is done. I hate the smell of stinky coats but also hate the cost of dry cleaning. |
🤣🤣🤣🤣 |
Thosd puffers hold smells. Sweaty smells, Old perfume odor, food odors, it all can be smelled by other people. Ever been behind someone in line or on the train? Bleh. It’s like that hair odor people have when you can tell they haven’t washed their hair in a while. It wafts. |
| Some of ya'll coats STINK. |
| Why? Coats don’t get dirty and I’m always cold so no sweat and if I washed mine it would get ruined |
