Tell me you wash or dry clean your winter coats… I didn’t realize some people do not wash coats from year to year

| I wash mine every few weeks or sooner if my dog gets them muddy at the dog park. I bought a second jacket last year just so I could wash one and wear one. |

| Some people literally have dogs and cats in their homes and even in their beds. Do you really think those people are noticing that their coat smells? Their entire house and all their clothes stink of animals and the “dirty” restaurant or wherever you went is cleaner than their homes. |

| I don't think any of my winter coats were ever washed. Now I live in a place that has no winter (50 is considered cold) and I do occasionally wash the Lands End rain jacket I've had for almost 20 years. But that's less than once a year. |

Kids’ coats I wash months.
Adult down coats and wool coats, get washed yearly, before out away. Down coats go in washer/dryer, wool coats to the dry cleaner. Then I bag up and store for the spring/summer. You shouldn’t be washing expensive down or wool coats frequently- it wears them out |
