As a mom, this is so sad to me. It suggests either Nicole Kidman wasn’t a good mother, or these kids were brainwashed by Tom Cruise / Scientology.

Katie Holmes had a front row seat to that sh!tshow and given the lengths she went to with Suri, I’d say it’s the latter. Hope the kids will someday wake up.

The dude has had two wives dump him under odd circumstances. I think reporters don't bring it up because it's clear to the public that he's not a good guy. Leaving Katie and Suri alone is probably happier for them.

Only one, Katie. He dumped his first wife for Mimi Rogers to be with Nicole Kidman. He subsequently dumped his second wife, Nicole Kidman to be with Katie Holmes. Katie is the one who dumped him. He also dated Penelope Cruz and ghosted, dumped her. It seems that Holmes is the only one that got the best of him, by dumping him before he could do the dumping.

I love his movies though.

Nicole has a loving family with Keith Urban so I’d bet that she wasn’t the problem.

Rumors that Tom left the religion around 2020/2021.

He seems to be that way with both work and Scientology.

But I think everyone realizes he didn’t abandon Suri— Katie rescued her. And I would bet that the divorce decree traded an iron clad NDA for Katie for her getting 100% control over Suri with very limited access for him. After what he did to Nicole w/r/t the kid, she knew there was no such thing as shared custody. Suri just turned 18, I think, so I’m wondering if/when either she or Katie will speak out about all this. Eventually one or the other will likely say something. It’s always been a little weird to me that Nicole doesn’t say more.

Nicole has never said more so she could leave the door open to have a relationship with her children.

She basically abandoned them though, right? Haven’t the kids spoken out and said something to that effect? I understand her needing to get away from Tom, but I don’t ever think I’ll understand how she just left her kids with him and then created a new family with Keith Urban.

Didn’t Tom serve her with divorce papers? She was blindsided, right?

And don’t you think she tried to see the kids but Tom and Scientology forbade it?

That’s my recollection/assumption.

But even if Scientology / Tom forbade it, in the great state of California, there’s something called parental rights. Even if a court wouldn’t give her joint custody (which would be very unlikely but let’s assume Scientology can influence CA state judges), she could’ve gotten visitation. Why didn’t she pursue legal options? Then again, Tom would’ve had legal options when it came to Suri too. So who knows, maybe Scientology is at the root of all this… or else Nicole just wasn’t that committed to being a mom of her two kids, and Tom just wasn’t that committed to being a dad to Suri.

Not necessarily. Visitation and custody is left to the judges who can be bias.

The most bias judge will not deny an emotionally and mentally fit mother from visitation. When Nicole walked away after Tom humiliated her with the divorce, she walked away from her adopted children. Maybe she never really bonded with them as a mother and it was easy to start over.

oh Jesus you people. who honestly cares?

Do you like Tom Cruise movies? Yes, I do.
Do you think Katie Holmes can act? No I really don't.
Do you think Nicole Kidman is amazing? No, her fake us accent grates on my very soul.

Are you giving Katie Holmes a free pass for alienating her child's father?

Yes, I’m guessing it was in the divorce contract that he not contact Suri. Katie’s escape was well planned and they had the Nicole Kidman model to see how Tom/ Church of Scientology handles the kids in a divorce. They used his behavior with Nicole to figure out what to say in the divorce decree.
I think Tom’s wives are on the end of Narcissitic Abuse so I completely give Katie a pass the way I would anyone attempting to protect their kids from a cult.i

If you don’t, that is on you.

If she refuses contact that is on her and not abandonment.

So that is the free pass and why people don’t get on him: He was legally written out of her life. It isn’t “on her” if she is protecting her kid from abuse.

This is like saying if someone has restraining order against a person, it is the fault of the person seeking the order that the stalker/Domestic abuser can’t contact them. The blame rests with the abuser who needs to be an adult in control of her/himself.

If Tom Cruise were a sane father, and keep his kids out of a cult, he would have access to Suri. He isn’t.

We don’t know what kind of father he is.

He belongs to a cult. You can’t be a good parent in a cult. The cult always takes precedence over other relationships. There is plenty of evidence out there about Scientology making and breaking couples.

People have been trying to cancel Tom Cruise for years,

and failed.

I think it’s reasonable to believe that he forced her out.

He’s in a cult and he was far more powerful than she was at the time.

His cult likely had some leverage against her that forced her to walk away with some cash, her career, and perhaps a chance at maintaining a relationship with the kids. I believe she tried, but he poisoned them against her.

It’s not a leap to believe this given that Tom and the kids are in a cult. While they’ve stepped out a bit, they will appease him so they inherit something. Neither has accomplished anything on their own. While he’s worth millions, he’s also the king of a cult. I’m sure he plans to leave money to his church. He probably thinks they’ll build a temple in his honor. His cult is his legacy…not the adopted kids he barely sees. He probably adopted them to quell the gay rumors and perhaps throw a bone to his wife.

He's very charming, charismatic and a talented actor. He's also very powerful in the industry because of this traits and his track record on really successful movies.

He's also a sick, twisted a-hole of a human who sold his soul for the cult.

As to why this isn't take about more - I agree with PPs on NDAs. He ostracized Nicole and it's to her credit that she as able to build a new life. Katie escaped, and I'm sure she made 100% certain that he couldn't say anything about her or the kids without major repercussions. Good for her.

Even if she got visits, he had custody and it’s pretty easy to alienate the kids to the other parent. Even if you file contempt very few judges will do much and it’s a hopeless battle.
