Men dating younger women gives me the ick

This but why make it a competitive thing? If it works, it works. Good for them.

Imagine a middle-aged anyone unironically using the phrase “gives me the ick.”

OP, you're this twisted up over a 10-year age difference? I barely consider that a gap. This says more about you than anyone else.

I thought he was a friend of my father (who also worked in the hospital) so I made eye contact, and it was immediately apparent that it was a leer, rather than a look. I was really taken aback, and pretty uncomfortable. I’d say this guy was early 40’s-ish.

I know some women report attraction to older men at that age, and to each his/her own. But honestly I think there’s something wrong there, on both ends, when I see those couples. There’s no commonality of life experience.

So a 40 year old man found a 23 year old woman attractive?

This is not exactly man bites dog news, PP.

My husband is 13 years older than me. He looks much younger than his age. I chose him because he was the most exciting and adventurous man I had ever met. He was also normal, did not play games and loved sex. He is successful, but I have family money so never cared about money.

I had my pick of men around my age, but I have never dated anyone younger than me. I was 26 when we met and we are still doing great 13-14 years and 3 kids later.

Same here OP. It's just never been my cup of tea but different strokes for different folks.

OP, you should think why it bothers you and why the judgement? what's in it for you?

What I meant is that I did not marry someone much older because of lack of options or because of his money. I married him for the same reasons most people marry.

+1 OMG this.

Please don't say "gives me the ick."

Sure, but she knew that going into it, and never had any regrets. To each their own but I’ve seen first hand that sometimes it works.

Are you sure? And everyone has regrets!

Just thinking about saggy boobs is nasty.
