I weigh 103. I don’t count calories but I’d guess I average between 1800-2000 per day. |
or they are anorexic so they do count … |
I am about 110 at 5’3, 47yo. I have never been a breakfast person, so I naturally intermittent fast. Starting around late middle school, I felt sluggish or nauseous if I ate before lunchtime.
I do not count calories, but I stop when full. Some days it is more than others. If I have a large lunch, I tend to not be hungry for a large dinner. I do drink alcohol and eat dessert whenever I feel like it. |
I'm 5'2" and I eat around 1,000 cals. I weigh around 110-112 depending on the time of the month. |
Oh shut it you jealous fatty. I have been around 120 my whole adult life and I am far from anorexic. |
I am 110 and don’t count calories, eat what I want when I am hungry. My parents are the same build and similar habits, not restrictive in type and amount of food, exercise or play a casual sport a few times a week. Most of it is genetic, plus some learned behaviors about food and activity. |
Ma’am be real with yourself. There are not that many anorexic adults running around. If you are an adult weighing 105 lbs, your genetics are working in your favor and you just don’t have to count calories. |
Clinically, you are probably right. But there are plenty of thin women that maintain very low calories and strict eating to maintain that level of thinness- as evidence by the PP who eats about 1000-1200!calories per day, does 45 min daily on the peleton, has 50 calorie seaweed as a snack, almond milk smoothly and is “contemplating” having frozen yogurt for dessert. It isn’t genetics keeping that woman at 115 |
I've never counted calories but have restricted my food intake since the age of 12 because due to genetics and slow metabolism, I gain weight super easily. |
I'm 37, 5'2 and 118lbs. I have a sedentary job, but do an hour of cardio pretty much everyday and do a 30 minute walk during my lunch break. I pretty much eat what I want, but eat slowly and drink a ton of water...I think this is key. A typical breakfast is coffee with a splash of milk and spinach fruit yogurt smoothie. Snack on some cashews and pretzels late morning. Lunch might be spicy chicken and bell peppers. Maybe a kind bar before hitting the gym. Dinner might be creamy broccoli pasta. Dessert is popcorn and a piece of chocolate. Probably eat out once a week. |
I was 112-114 for many years and in my 40s went up to 115-117 and that has stuck for a while now (age 44). I work out with running or other cardio about 4-5 days per week, some weights, and tend to eat about 1800-2300 calories per day. I have cut back on alcohol and dairy for health in general. My weight would budge if I consistently ate about 1500 calories per day but I find that really hard to do. |

So..you gained 3 lbs? |
Yes which sounds like nothing but I’m short so it is the difference between not being able to wear several clothing items I had. I also wear a uniform for work and it’s tighter—and really expensive to change out! Anyway, I get it, not a big deal relative to life. But also just from age versus any real change. |
I'm in this weight range now, but I was anorexic as a college student and have not counted calories since that time. I associate it with disordered eating but obviously many people do it. Some people naturally have small appetites and are still heavier and some people at this weight have a faster metabolism, are slim and eat a lot. My size 10/12 SIL just visited and eats only toddler sized portions 2x per day while I'm polishing off big plates of food and eating between meals because I'm hungry. We are both healthy and get what our bodies need. |
