It’s good another forum was started. What the fk is wrong with a discussion of crime? It’s a problem. I’m sorry some people are weak and can’t handle things without trigger warnings.

Sure crime exists and it gets worse, and it gets better, but exaggerating and outright lying don't help your case.

Dude. Look at the crime stats year over year. You are out of touch.

The quality of discussion has plunged and sense of community eroded as the Reddit kept getting brigaded by accounts posting non-stop crime content.

I checked the subreddit every day and honestly never saw this. There were crime posts but for actual crimes, and maybe 1/day? The bad comments got downvoted so I didn’t see them. And I also didn’t bother to read comments on the crime posts.

I truly believe they are banning crime posts for political reasons - because they think discussing crime (even actual crimes) is inherently racist.

The crime posts by themselves aren't racist, they just happen to bring out the racists, the sealions and the JAQoffs.

So far they allowed a post about Metro’s new fare gates reducing fare evasion, but censored a discussion about a well-liked shop having its windows smashed.

So we can discuss crime going down but when it occurs to a local business owner or a neighbor we can’t say a word.

Pretty wild move, I predict the press will pick this story up.

Snort. No, it won’t. How some social media site self-regulates or moderates isn’t newsworthy. There’s no injustice here or anything.

I'm sure crap "sources" like daily wire will run some hysteria piece on it.

OP said “the press.” I assumed he meant credible professional journalists, not right-wing propaganda outlets. Daily Wire is that snively little shit Shapiro, right? The moron who keeps getting owned by the libs at every turn?

And frequently “quoted” on DCUM by the RWNJs.

They could have been smart and just had a weekly crime thread pinned to the top of the sub so that residents could still have their space to discuss crime happening in the city. Outright bans are something China and North Korean governments do. How can you possibly be liberal and support censorship?

I dont see any posts about crime posts being banned on this sub

The mods of r/washingtondc (the ones that pretend DC crime doesn't exist) have started whining to Reddit admins that people in the r/washdc sub are being mean to them. What incredible babies they are:

They’re big mad they can’t moderate another sub. Funniest thing in a long time.

You slyly and casually bring this up as if COVID safety measures and crime are similar issues, one benefits life, the other does not.

Yeah, shutting schools down and setting kids back years in learning was such a life benefit.

I find it very interesting how there's probably something like a 90% overlap between people claiming their kids were permanently damaged for life by the "covid lockdowns" and the people who say a.) schools are worthless and indoctrinating kids in marxism and pedophilia and that Department of Education should be shut down and defunded and/or b.) they homeschool their kids or send them to conservative christian or private schools anyhow.

Are you so low information you’re unaware of the test scores post two years of closings? That many kids were severely damaged is basically a truism at this point and has nothing to do with whatever talking points you’re mad about.

That's a lack of parenting. Ironic to hear this coming from the "party of personal responsibility." And again, see the prior irony I already posted about how you already were running around demonizing teachers and claiming the schools provided no value even before the covid pandemic. Not to mention you being so low-information that you are oblivious to the fact that covid killed more than 1 million Americans INCLUDING TEACHERS AND CHILDREN.
