I think that Henry Winkler, Jay Leno, Denis Leary and Jennifer Coolidge (just to name a few Emerson educated comedians, all of whom predate the 2016 introduction of the Comedic Arts major) can hold their own against those Ivy grads. ![]() |
Was honestly surprised Bill Maher came out of the Ivy League, but then I looked it up and it’s Cornell. Now it all makes sense. |
Cal State schools have some surprisingly top programs. Unfortunately because you apply to a specific major you still need a 4.0 or higher to get in even though you can have a much lower gpa and get into other programs. You can only change majors if you would have qualified when you first applied so there aren’t really back doors. Cal State Monterey environmental or marine sciences. Cal Poly SLO or Pomona architecture Cal State San Diego State, cal poly slo, cal poly Pomona, Fullerton and San Jose State for engineering or CS |
There are MANY industrial uses of ceramics. I worked in manufacturing for a company that made spark plugs. Alfred Ceramics graduates were highly sought after and enables the organization to streamline production. I know you thought you were being funny (probably could not get into Emerson) but there is a lot to this. |
UC Davis - Viticulture and Enology
|
UCSC - Astronomy |
man, this is so crazy. I went to one of those schools eons ago, and it didn't have nearly the same cache as it does today. So much has changed. IMO, SJSU is a hidden gem for CS. It's in the heart of SV, and a lot of companies recruit from there. Campus sucks, but it's a great location for CS jobs. |
Can't help but think of Being John Malkovich lmao. |
dp.. ceramics is also used in healthcare. You can get a ceramic hip replacement. |
