Daughter double-pierced her own ears without my permission

I pierced several friends' ears with a needle and ice cube in high school (my mom asked me if I wanted to get my ears double pierced when I was in middle school, so obviously we were a double piercing friendly home).

OP, You are the parent. It is quite simple, if you do not want her to have them, tell her that she has to remove them immediately. If she does not, ground her, take her phone or something else that will get the point across. Ear piercing is not a big deal, but respect is.

As we are on the subject of piercings, do You truly believe a fifteen year old should be able to have their nipples or clitoral hood pierced?? Or what about tattoos? and consumption; alcohol? cigarettes? Where is the line? Or is Your belief that there is no line? I am not trying to be aggressive, I genuinely would like to understand .

I believe that anyone of any age should be able to make any non permanent decision that they want to, in this case an ear piercing can be reversed at any time.

I’m very against tattoos and nose rings and things like that but a second ear piercing at 15 years old?? Honestly I’m not sure why she even asked you in the first place.

That’s the age I snuck my third holes. I would only wear earrings while sleeping, until my mom walked in one morning and saw them. I kept them but she wasn’t happy!

A second ear hole is better than a tattoo or nipple piercing! But also, you forbade it years ago? Maybe she thought it was NBD now.
