Oh? What would he do about inflation and the price of gas?

The ultra conservatives have been busy setting up infrastructure in DC so not to be as flatfooted like in 2016. They are ready and waiting to support either Trump or DeSantis. Media portrayals of Desantis like to paint him as the next Trump, but I think he would be better on some issues such as foreign policy. He is an opportunist just like Trump, but I think there is benefit to having someone who is smarter and more rational as opposed to ego and grievance driven. Trump will have learned from his first term and be more effective at grift and destruction if he is in again.

Trump learns nothing. Ever.

I'm beginning to agree with this, the more I see of him.

Love DeSantis!!!!

What you folks don't realize is that after you vote these people into power and they change the laws, push the interpretation of the laws to the absolute limit, line their pockets, and pack the courts, etc. to stay in power is that you become as powerless as all the people you want them to stick it to to vote them out.

Agreeing with someone politically doesn't mean you want to "stick it" to anyone. Do you want to "stick it" to people you disagree with?

I love this. It's just a political "disagreement" when you're picking and choosing the news outlets that cover your official government actions, or when you enact laws against gays. This isn't a political disagreement. It's a fundamental disagreement about how society should function. I'm against fascism, light or heavy, but you do you.

And my point still stands - once you vote these people into power you won't be able to vote them out.

Campaign activities are not "official government actions." Reasonable people can disagree about the propriety of not allowing left leaning media into campaign events, but it is well within DeSantis's rights. People no longer trust the media to accurately report, so it's hard to take the media's side on this.

We are the world's largest exporter of petroleum AND natural gas. Gosh, whatever could we do?

DeSantis’ background — Yale, Harvard, tremendous college athlete, military, is the background Biden wishes he had (or maybe he has convinced himself he has). But it’s a moot point because DeSantis will lose to Crist. And that’s that.

Companies are making the decision to export fuel rather than sell domestically.

Are you saying that Biden should nationalize energy companies?

This. He’s a smart, qualified man and would do a good job. The media hates him, but I think he might have a chance since more and more people are acknowledging the media bias.

Are you saying we canMr incentivize companies to sell domestically? I mean, there is no precedence for that in other industries, right?

He looks like a fat, washed up frat boy. How he has such greasy hair is beyond me. Why doesn’t someone do something about his appearance?

I don't think DeSantis would do a good job. He doesn't value human life enough for me.

Crist won't win. People are tired of seeing men this old in the oval office. They lack skin in the game. DeSantis has his whole life ahead of him and decades of hedge fund employment, so he cant screw things up.

More people die in Florida, even without covid, because over a fifth of its population is over 65. It has the second oldest population in the US.

Yet its covid death heat map looks similsr to Texas, which has one of the youngest populations in the US (3rd youngest).

By comparison, Florida looks like it was spared.
