Stranger Things Season 4

Yeah it’s not the best plot but there are several story lines and it’s keeps switching it up. Also the acting for most people is decent.

Steve is kinda hot in that Adam Driver, I don’t know why but he’s hot kind of way.

Matthew Modine really looks old and I feel old looking at him because I remember when he was young and hot.

My one quibble: there’s no way a girl who lives in a trailer park could afford a Sony Walkman in 1986! But I guess it’s hard to have the music plot point without it. I remember pining for one but it was over $100, which was even more money back then.

But back before her mom split with Billy’s abusive father, they had a much nicer house. So let’s just say the Walkman is from then.

I saw the first 15 minutes and stopped because of all the blood. Does it get better?

It does get better IMO.

There are some hard to watch parts where some kids (teens) get tortured and a flashback to a baby crying when being burned alive but you don't actually see the baby.

DP. As another PP responded, that scene stops but please be aware that fragments of that scene will appear in flashbacks for Eleven through some other episodes. That bloody incident is key to the plot, though, and important in a big plot twist.

I don't know the exact ratings but my college kid who has followed the show closely says this season has a "higher" age rating than the previous three seasons, due to the heightened horror elements. I suspect though that many viewers will miss that the rating is different and might be surprised.

Did anyone else notice the Easter egg phone number? 805-45-PIZZA

I thought at first you might mean it was a reference to the Pizza Planet delivery truck that turns up in all the Pixar films but I can't find a number associated with that truck...What's the Easter egg?

Do you mean, the fact we can actually call that number, just like there was a real number with a message from a Stranger Things character on it in season 3?

Absolutely loved the show for years, but this is the best season since season 1. The way they blend nostalgia, levity and the creepy/scary is brilliant. The characters are so well written and the actors do them justice.

I want to watch episode 4 (THE max moment) and episode 8 over and over again.

I’m so glad they didn’t have to shave MBB head again

I'm surprised so many of you love it. I like it but it is not at all comparable to past seasons. I think the plot is not in keeping with the rest of the show. I think they have ceased to be clever. Some of the young actors are really just not good - although I love Maya Hawke, the actors who play Steve, Lucas, and Max. But Will and Mike? Yikes.

Anyway, I am still a huge fan of the show and will keep watching.

There have only been 7 episodes of season 4 released so far.

It may have been Billy's before he died.

Least favorite season so far, and the big reveal is silly. Especially silly how they zoom in at the end to make sure you understand the big twist after they spend the previous 10 minutes beating you over the head with it.

Hopper stuff too violent and uninteresting. I just FF through it.

11 stuff, meh. Some FF, some watching. The twist there is very predictable, unfortunately.

The main Vecna story is the only part that approaches previous seasons, though having watched episode 7 I'm concerned that's now going to be ruined as well.

End of episiode 4 is fantastic.

Max is amazing. Just watched episode 4 last night and still tearing up thinking about it.

I love the kids' friendships, and I even kind of like Vecna, but the Russia storyline is just deadly. Keeps dragging on and on.

+1

I hope it steps up. There will likely be a season 5, so I hope they don't blow it.
