Is there any chance Eddie is still alive somewhere? I really want that character to keep going! Also, how did El resuscitate Max, exactly? I was pretty into this season but thought the 48 hour time jump at the end was kind of lazy.

Personally, I don’t think there’s any chance Eddie is alive. I do think we may get Max back, eventually. Much as I liked Eddie, I’d rather have max.
As for El bringing Max back, I think she just restarted her heart telepathically. Think about season 1 where she made the bully pee himself. Being able to control someone’s organs isn’t actually a new power.
Totally agree with you on the 2 day jump. It was jarring. I’m hopeful that we’ll get more info about what happened during that time in season 5.

Umm. I’m a lesbian, and I can’t tell you how many lesbians I know who are dating or have married women who look just like them. “Lesbian narcissism” is a cliché for a reason! I’ve been with my wife for 25 years and we get mistaken for each other all the time… so I actually found that super believable. Also, Vickie definitely looks like Molly Ringwald, which is about the hottest thing you could be back then.

Anyway, I agree that mike sucks as a character. Will’s whole speech to him about being “the heart” of the group felt untrue to me. Mike hasn’t been the heart since season 1 or 2 (he did fight to save Will) but not any longer. I hope the writing of his character gets better. Either way, I enjoyed this season and look forward to/am terrified to see how it all ends in season 5.

(Will's speech was so sad, though, and Noah Schnapp did a good job. Mike does suck.)

He has apparently said in real life that he wished the Duffer brothers would let him have a different haircut. It’s really painful to see. I also didn’t understand Eleven’s outfit in the last episode— floral thermal and white jeans? It was so bad that it was distracting.

I had to laugh/cry when I saw that. It's very much like something my immigrant parents would dress me in when I was a child in the 80s. I think Eleven (like them) hasn't yet learned the "rules" to creating a stylish outfit.

These were my favorites, too.

I hope they go back to shorter episodes next season. I liked Season 4, but the episodes were really bloated.

I just read an interview with the Duffer Bros. They seem to think season 5 episodes will be shorter. They said they needed the longer episodes this season due to the characters being so spread out.

I also think we’ll get Max back. I read one theory that Max’s conscience is exploring the Void to find some kind of info/weapon/threat to Vecna and the Upside Down, just like how Vecna explored and figured out how to use it. So when she returns, it’ll be with something useful to help defeat him for good.

That was the look my parents were going for. But originality of dress didn't exist in my small suburban Midwest school district.

Mike as "the heart" reminds me of "Bran having the best story" in Game of Thrones. We've been dragging this story line around for years, like a dead limb that no longer functions, and we need a lame reason explaining why.

He really seemed like a non-entity this season. I hope they'll give him more to do next season. But for sure, Dustin is the heart. Actually Steve and Dustin.

Also agree that no chance Max is really gone and she'll have a lot to do next season - but what?? There's one theory the UD isn't inherently bad - that Vecna/Henry/One harnessed its neutral power to make it evil, and it's possible Max and El can turn it around. That would be interesting - I would like to understand what UD IS a little better!
