| Didn't see a thread made yet. Who else has finished Volume 1? Loved it and the Vecna reveal took me by surprise. Can't wait for July 1st! |
We are pacing ourselves and made it through Episode 4 today. That was an amazing episode, and the end, whoa. I just want to watch that last minute a hundred times. My review would be that so far this is a really strong season, but the horror factor is ramped way up if your kids are sensitive to that or are younger. And so much great music. |

Ehhhh.. I could’ve used about 25% less torture scenes. But I did love the cool Nightmare on Elm Street vibe (and cameo!) that permeated this installment. The satanic panic throwback was surprisingly relevant in today’s environment.
Plus I’m still waiting pulling for Steve and Nancy soooo… |

I finished and really loved this season.
I’m kind of, unexpectedly, routing for Steve and Nancy too. Although part of me just wants her to go off to college without a boyfriend. Casting Robert Englund was a nice touch. |

I’ve watched the first 4 episodes and here’s my two cents:
-Some of the kids look way too old. -Some of the kids can’t act. -Nancy looks older than Winona Ryder. -Hopper’s storyline is boring, dark and violent. I’ve fast forwarded some of his segments. -Love the music. -Nice seeing Reiser back. -Argyle is fun. -The SciFi stuff is just too much. I feel like the show jumped the shark. |

I think the show jumped the shark last season but it’s still entertaining and well-produced and it tugs at my 80’s childhood heartstrings so I’ll watch it til the end. It got really over the top this season (*spoiler* Joyce crash landing a plane in the Russian mountains and everyone walking away a la Indy in a inflatable life raft), but the writing is still pretty funny and the new additions Eddie and Argyle freshen things up. |
| I actually liked this season better than last. That whole sequence with Max running away from Vecna was amazing — creepy, beautiful, great music. Awesome cliffhanger ending I wasn’t expecting. I have a very bad feeling about Steve for some reason. Feels like they might kill him off. |
| I'm also unexpectedly rooting for Steve and Nancy. I love Steve, I really hope they're not killing him off. |
| My 14 yr old DD has been watching - her take was a) way too much violence and b) some really bad CGI making 11 the kid version of herself in fake flashbacks. |
| I’ve only watched the first two episodes but… why does the Nancy character look like she’s in her 40s? |
The Nancy actress looks like she has an eating disorder, and they are sticking her in huge clothes with huge hair to cover up how small she is. |
She’s hard to watch. So thin and unattractive. |
Sadly, it’s this. Her skin kind of hangs off her face. And the hair may have been ok for a teen in the 80s, but it’s only worn by old ladies now. |
Heaven forbid an we set our eyes on an unattractive woman on TV

I binged watched season 4 over the weekend. I really like this season. I did find the Hopper scenes to be too dark for my taste and found myself turning away. I agree that the actress who plays Nancy appears to have an eating disorder. I thought that all the way back in season 1. She’s always been very thin. I feel for her because it is definitely making her look older than she is and of course, the hair and clothes they are putting her in for the show are not helping. I am also rooting for a Steven & Nancy match.
