Stranger Things Season 4

The Nancy actress looks like she has an eating disorder, and they are sticking her in huge clothes with huge hair to cover up how small she is.

I noticed this, too. Big boots, baggy clothes (although accurate for the time). She needs help.

Loved the end of episode 4 and the end of episode 7. Interesting twists.

Did anyone else notice that Eddie resembles (and acts like) a young Robert Downey Jr?

The first season vibe of the show was that the actors were real looking and unattractive.
It went with the look of the show.
Go back and watch something from the early 80’s. It’s shocking how ugly many of the actors were.
Now everyone has the same nose. I prefer ugly.

It took me a couple of eps to get into this season but by the end I was super hooked - and I can't wait for the next installment. Saw that ST got renewed for a 5th and final season - huzzah.

Aside from Nancy's looks - I LOVED her wardrobe this season - she's grown into a great character. I'm rooting for her and Steve.

I just call him Eddie Van Halen but you are definitely not the only one who got RDJr. vibes. Ive seen it around the internet. Something about the eyes and mouth.

Hopper’s storyline is boring, dark and violent. I’ve fast forwarded some of his segments.

I agree. I like his character, but this storyline just doesn't hold my interest, and there is enough going on in the show without it.

I have a couple more episodes to go and am liking it for the most part, athough I could do without most of Hopper's storyline. And how is he even standing at this point?

I think the main cast teens are still passable as teens, but a couple of the new characters this season look like they're mid-30's.

Steve is by far my favorite on the show.

Awesome cliffhanger ending I wasn’t expecting. I have a very bad feeling about Steve for some reason. Feels like they might kill him off.

We were all teary-eyed at that scene.

Perhaps, but this is his ginger doppelganger:

Loved it.

SPOILERS below if you haven't see it all.

Someone said they could do with less torture and I tend to agree. I could do with less evil military after Eleven. I feel like there is enough going on.

Way too much of Hopper in prison, but that storyline did have a nice payoff, and some of the best comic relief of the season.

I feel like the actor that plays Lucas is really a standout this season.

Agree with others on Nancy's appearance. I found her mom's perm hilarious though. There should a be a side article about all of her mom's habits that are really so '80's. I really love the whole parents barely noticing the kids are alive until there are a bunch of murders and Satan! The doofus Hawkins cops are also a laugh.

More Susie and more Susie backstory please. She is a hoot and I want to see her and Dustin together in person.

The whole season/Vecna storyline was really well-done. Complex, but not too confusing to follow. I don't feel like they really tied it in well to the past seasons, but they made a good effort. My kids loved that orderly but they guessed the reveal. I guessed that Eleven fighting him is how he got in the upside down.

I am eager to see Eleven outside the tank again for the rest of the season. I still can't decide if I should hate Paul Reiser's character or not.

Max's scene at the end of episode 4 is one of my top TV scenes ever.

I think the show jumped the shark last season but it’s still entertaining and well-produced and it tugs at my 80’s childhood heartstrings so I’ll watch it til the end. It got really over the top this season (*spoiler* Joyce crash landing a plane in the Russian mountains and everyone walking away a la Indy in a inflatable life raft), but the writing is still pretty funny and the new additions Eddie and Argyle freshen things up.

But why

After the first 2 episodes, we were all in. Agree the torture (plus El’s flashbacks) were a lot darker than previous seasons. Steve better not die! I would love him and Nancy back together. But she may not make it. Excited for volume 2!

I'm so excited that volume 2 is coming next month! I thought it was just these few episodes, so that news makes me very happy. I loved the scene in Ep 4 w/Max. I could feel the emotion coming through the screen and that view of her looking out toward her friends with the song in the background. gives me chills. She is a great actress. hope to see her in more things to come. My teen is now watching season 1 and keeps asking me questions and i realized how much i have forgotten from the first season, which seems like ages ago. may have to go back and rewatch it with her.

I loved this installment! I did not see that coming with the Vecna reveal. I hope Nancy and Steve are OK. Agree with PPs that the Hopper storyline was not nearly as good as the others and the torture scenes were darker this season. The way they died with their arms/legs and their faces, so creepy.

I figured out who Vecna was and that he was 001 but I didn’t connect it to the kid from the flashback. So out of three reveals one took me by surprise. Great season (so far).

Finished episode 7 today. SO good! And wow, the Creel boy/Vecna/One reveal had me like 😱.
So i completely forgot there was a Volume 2 so was expecting this to be the last season (I know from searching there's one more) and last episode so was at first like um, time is running out to wrap up everything 🤣

Can't wait for Vol 2!
