Private School Lacrosse Thread

the 2021 team is not even that strong anymore. Its run by a Bullis Dad.

The DCE 2022 was 3-4 in the HoCo, which tied for fifth in the top division. So not as good as 2021, but not horrible either. The DCE 2023 team will likely be on the weaker side given that the BLC 2023 team isn't that strong. The DCE 2024 team, though, has a chance to be very good since BLC 2024 is excellent.

Not accurate, the "Bullis dad" has not been involved in coaching for past several years...head coach is Whitman head coach

The 2021 team is an excellent team...

What does this have to do with "Private SCHOOL Lacrosse"?

Most of the club teams have a significant private school roster.

Because in this area lacrosse = private school.

The Sports and Fitness forum has been overrun by soccer threads so I am considering creating a separate soccer forum. I am also thinking about making an entire "Sports" section (like we have "Parenting Discussion Forums", "Relationship Discussion Forums" etc.). In that case, I would probably also create a Lacrosse forum and move this thread there. This thread is very long which means that nobody reads it from the beginning and loading all the pages and posts takes lots of server resources. I would rather you guys have your own forum and create lots of threads on various lacrosse topics. But, I know some of you are very change resistant and fairly determined that this thread should be here in the private school forum. So, if I created a separate lacrosse forum, how would you react? Would you use it?

LOL. Change resistant? Us? Never!

I am okay with the change; I lurk more than I post on this thread. I agree that a lot of people are "fairly determined that this thread should be here in the private school forum". I love how diplomatically you put that!

Fantastic idea Jeff and the sooner you can do it the better. Thanks!

FWIW, lax parent here - both private and public - there is plenty of good/great lax at public up and down the East Coast.

In other pars of the east coast - like NY and NJ and parts of MD yes. In the DC area - no. There is no good/great public school lacrosse here.

I, for one, would be disappointed if you moved this thread to a different forum. Many of the valuable postings are directly related to private schools and I believe would be lost from the discussion if the thread isn't right here for the private school parents to remember they want to read and comment on. While I am interested in some of the club stuff, I am more interested on the stuff related directly the the ISL and IAC lacrosse teams - which are the private school leagues. I do however find the occasional club postings to be interesting. Overall, the thread as a whole is a great read, best on DCUM IMO. If its tough to load, could you just archive or even delete the first half of the thread?

Sorry but we know many kids playing college lax from public high schools. Obviously they also play club.

Did you not read Jeff's post? There will be an exclusive private lax thread over there - if you or someone else starts one. You can start a thread devoted to each conference in the area. There can be a public school thread that you never have to click on. I can think of many other thread topics on lax that parents in this area would be interested. You seem very shallow if you can't think beyond this mostly sniping thread with a few bits of useful information that is clearly in the WRONG forum.

Move this thread. This is a private school forum, not a lax forum.

Keep it under Private Schools. Just my .02.

Jeff - this is your forum. Move it where ever you think is appropriate. That should be the new Sports Forum but will leave it up to you.

Keep this thread here. But open up a new forum for lacrosse. See if he latter garners sufficient traffic then move this thread. I doubt it will. If I'm in the majority, I only read this thread because I stumble upon it whenever I need a Big 3 daily chuckle.
