I am a White Woman trapped in a Black Woman's Body. Ask me anything! |
Do you wear Uggs and yoga pants? |
Yes I do! |
Do you have a flat butt and can't dance? |
Why do you say this? Is it because of what black family or friends think? Or how the media and society stereotype black and white women? |
What kind of music do you like?
Do you chemically straighten your hair? Have you had plastic surgery on your face to make your features more white? Have you bleached your skin? Do you want to be white, or get the advantages white women do, or ... something else? |
Yes! |
No and no |
I say this because I feel I have more on common with white women and have mostly white friends and that is who I feel the most comfortable socializing with. |
This is OP. I do not alter my appearance to look white and have no desire to. Plus I have a daughter and want to serve as a good example to her so she will hopefully love her appearance. However I grew up in all white neighborhoods and went to all white schools. I now live in a predominantly white neighborhood. |
Are you biracial? |
Did you grow up and were socialized in a white community? |
Never mind, I see you answered that. |
Do you listen to Whitesnake? |
How do you think it makes your daughter feel to be forced to be one of the few black girls in her neighborhood? I'm white, but it sounds like you did what was comfortable for you without taking into consideration what would be most comfortable for your daughter. Does she feel like a white girl trapped in a black body |
