Anyone with information that could help investigators is asked to contact D.C. Police at 202-727-9099. |
And yet he walks free |
| the on-stop array of fights, drug busts, full on crimes, and racial incidents at Whitman make me believe this school has really taken a turn for the worse |
Uh huh. We get it: you're jealous. |
| Damascus still has a football program. That should answer everything.UGH. |
Given what we know of CTE, no school should have football. |
But have the coaches and the principal not all been fired? I think you'll find that is the case. |
They should have been prosecuted for interfering with a police investigation. They interviewed the victims and witnesses before calling the police. |
| Update on crew coach? |
In this case he thrived because the parents of the varsity girls were only with him for 3 years, and unless they had younger children their involvement with the team ended. This means the board members in many cases only served 2 years, and then a new set of parents would then join. As long as the team did well, there was little incentive for them to rock the boat. The parents of the male athletes had little to no daily interaction with the coach, and so their perspective would naturally be influenced more by their interaction with the men’s coaches (which was a totally different set of individuals). As for MCPS, that’s another ball of wax. They knew he’d been reported in 2018 - not sure if there were any referrals prior to that time. |
Or people may call the US Attorney, Caroline Burrell, at 202-252-6950 |
What does this mean? There are others at Whitman? |
No, but within MCPS. |
Call the DC Prosecutor. The only way there will be any action is if an outside law enforcement agency is notified. |
| Law enforcement often chooses not to investigate. And therein lies part of the problem. If police and CPS don't investigate, MCPS will put them back in the classroom after they wait to see if anything else comes up. |
