So why isn’t MCPS doing more to protect students from child predators on their payroll? |
Because Maryland is a sexual predator friendly state. |
Joshua Starr knew about John Vigna. Vigna's lap sitting with little girls was documented and written up. The letter, copied to Starr, was put in Vigna's file. |
The stuff I’m talking about has occurred in the last couple years. Starr was two superintendents and nearly a decade ago at this point. |
|
Mostly because people are "innocent until proven guilty" and MCPS wants ironclad evidence before acting.
Well, that and it's easier to not act. |
Starr left in 2015. That's now a decade? New math? Stick your head in the sand and pretend it's only about you. The same administrators that worked for Starr are still in MCPS. McKnight has been here for years and was trained in the same procedures that Starr used. The same system is still in place. "Popular" teachers/staff get a pass even when they are actively sexually abusing students. Same system, same cover ups. Maryland is a sexual predator friendly state. Get used to it. |
Ok, then call out the current people flouting the law. When you bring up someone who left, what, 8 years ago if we're being exact, then you water down your argument. No one but you cares about an individual who left his leadership position two superintendents ago. You should get therapy for your obsession with him. You weaken your own arguments. |
Sounds personal. |
PP, re John Vigna, speechless. https://wtop.com/montgomery-county/2021/03/supreme-court-rejects-mcps-teacher-request-overturn-child-sexual-assault-conviction/ |
I agree and just assume it's the Parents Coalition lady at this point. No one else wastes energy on a superintendent who left 8 years ago. If she's going to obsess over MCPS, there's plenty of current stuff that she can harp on. |
The current people? You want a list of all MCPS administrators? |
But sexual abuse of students in classrooms by teachers isn't something that anyone should be concerned about. |
No one said that. The rest of us are more interested in child abuse than in your old grudge against a school official from the past. I wonder if you even see the issues anymore. You seem much more consumed with "getting" your old adversaries than actually solving current problems. It's just plain weird. |
Many people do not know what sexual assault is, and nor do they know what constitutes rape of another person. https://www.thisamericanlife.org/770/my-lying-eyes/act-one-10 https://www.irishtimes.com/opinion/legacy-of-sex-abuse-denial-can-be-traced-back-to-freud-1.360285 |
| Does anyone know what happened to Shipley and what systematic changes has Whitman implemented since the incidents came to light? |
