| Landon and Prep don't seem to be as aggressive as Bullis or SJC with the early scrimmages, but they are expected to play a modified IAC season. |
| STA too? I believe STA football played against FUMA last weekend, which is impressive given that Prep and Landon only played 7 on 7 touch. |
STA had a modified football season this spring, really? I have been told the IAC is having a regular season starting mid April. Each team will play each other twice to determine seedings for the IAC playoffs. 10 game regular season schedule. |
This is a perfect example of how people on DCUM either have no clue what they are talking about or just bold face lie and try to spread fake news. 🙄 IAC lax began on March 15 with the start of practice. The season runs from April 15-May 15th. IAC teams play each other twice in week (for covid reasons). All IAC schools are participating. Sounds like games will be filmed as no spectators allowed. Will any of this change as the CDC rules change, possibly, but for now this is what is planned. |
STA also played in the 7x7 touch games. They weren’t ready for their first game against Prep so had to take a rain check for a few weeks later. Football was basically a joke this season for everyone due to covid restrictions. |

Admission time...sounds like some pretty impressive underclassmen recruits are headed to STJ and Gonzaga.
Any other news on the DMV private schools class of 25? |
Interesting news about STJ and GZ -hadn't heard that. |
|
Landon 2025 class was already strong to begin with and added a few newcomers too.

| The number of kids in 8th grade that will impact the HS season next year is approximately none |
| Hopefully IAC will be playing by 2025...... |
| The number of kids in 8th grade that will impact the HS season next year is approximately none |
| When looking at the class as a whole, Prep and Gonzaga always have the best incoming ninth graders. |
Perhaps Gonzaga has a strong 9th grade based on how large the school is these days (250+ incoming freshman nowadays) GP has been irrelevant since Giblin left the program in 2014.. win an outright IAC championship before beating your chest. Nothing has changed with the Prep Dads reliving the glory days. |
Bullis picked up a great lefty attack, and GZ a great right and heard a good goalie, too. But agree with PP though on likelihood of '22 season impact. |

IL Pre-season rankings are below.. note these are pre-season rankings.
Even Ty Xanders has St Johns ahead of Gonzaga... have the Johnnies finally taken over the Eagles in the WCAC as the team to beat. Bullis has clearly climbed the mountain in the IAC so I don't see why it can't happen in the Catholic league. https://www.insidelacrosse.com/article/inside-lacrosse-top-25-high-school-power-rankings-week-1/57559 |
