Ranking are joke SJC ahead of Spalding???? Spalding beatem three straight |
Ty Xanders is a joke |
| Prep's team has 18 seniors and 13 of them are committed to play in college. That's pretty impressive. |
| No reason to get excited about preseason rankings, one way or another. |
Yes it is. Too bad 2021s haven't played a full season of HS lacrosse in 2 years. |
Is someone upset that offering free tuition to all the SJC juniors and sophomore goalie wasn’t enough for them to leave? Also, it was two scrimmages where one team was playing to win and the other team played everyone. |
| “Sophomore” |
SJC gives schollies for lacrosse players? I assumed football and basketball, but did not know if it included other sports as well. |
|
Football, hoops, lacrosse and baseball.
|
| I don't have a problem with the way SJC goes about things |

IAC league play opens up exactly 2 weeks from today, can’t wait for it!
I never thought this past Christmas the way in which things were heading, we would even be having any resemblance of a Spring season. A ten game league only schedule is better than nothing, I also believe there is a playoff at the end too. (Can someone confirm this) Pre-season rankings.. 1. GP - more depth any team in the league, both their current senior, junior and even sophomore classes are deep and loaded with talent. On paper, GP is the best team in the IAC but coaching is a serious issue. 2. Bullis - by far the most loaded senior class in the DMV (added a few senior transfers both D1 commits due to covid). Depth will be an issue for this group with IAC opting to play league games on Thursdays and Saturdays. 3. Landon - do the Bears have a new coach for the Spring yet? A talented senior class but not as deep as Bullis. Very good at fogo and in the cage, Landon will surprise league teams this spring. The Bears always have depth and carry a large roster. 4. St Stephens - the best coached team in the IAC added a few key off-season transfers. They will be a tough out for any team. Depth will be a big issue for the Saints as the weather heats up in the late spring. 5. Episcopal - the Maroon lost a ton to what would have been a stellar 2020 team. I don’t think any of the Canadians were allowed to transfer in this year due to covid. EHS always lacks depth but does have some studs on the offensive ends of the field. 6. STA - can the bulldogs win a league game this spring? The program seems to be gradually improving and heading in the right direction under Heeter. Final predictions: GP finally wins its first outright IAC banner since the Giblin era. The Lil Hoyas knock off the Landon Bears in the finals who have a surprise upset over Bullis in the IAC semis. |
