This Is Us. Season 3

Someone on fb suggested that Rebecca has known Nicky is still alive and that’s the secret she referred to. Maybe she did some digging and found out he’s still alive but didn’t think Jack should know. It’s kinda unrealistic that he’s been living so close by and going by his real name but nobody has even googled him. Especially Kevin. Seems like a simple google search would happen before going to Vietnam.

I’m a little nervous that we haven’t seen future kate yet. I hope she doesn’t die in childbirth. But maybe she does and it causes mental issues for Rebecca. That would explain Toby saying she wouldn’t want to see him. Her complaints about aches and pains seemed to be hinting at an illness such as MS or ALS though.

Divorce because it's right after he backs out of his promise to end his campaign the minute she objected. And she sets out the couch bedding for him. Kinda blatant, I thought, like the smoke detector shot last season.

Could be Rebecca's pain is because she's still holding onto a secret. Yet I cannot comprehend Jack disowning his brother--but, maybe Jack did have a relationship with the Vietnamese woman and Nick killed her. Seems striking that nobody in the village knows who she was. . . I thought the guy they met might be the kid with the sliced up foot. Or maybe he really is?

Deja wants to see her mom? Nicky’s alive? Ho hum) and annoyed (Beth’s so busy and things so complicated that she can’t let Randall just lose his campaign, he needs to quit tonight or it’s divorce? Hmmm, k). Who would have ever guessed that Kevin would become the hero of this series?

Agreed. The whole campaign plot line was unbelievable and boring from the start. And I really don’t care that Nicky is alive because he is an unlikeable character. The show seems to be losing its way and is more focused on plot twists than character development.

I think Jack might have known about Nicky. I wonder if the Vietnamese woman helped them because Jack helped her son. How would Nicky's name not be in the registry if he'd died in Vietnam? It appears that he blew up the boat to fake his death. But then wouldn't they have him listed as dead?

I still dont understand how Randall can live in NJ and run for office in PA?

I think Randall is relying on the letter of the law, which doesn't make it right. He co-signed William's lease before he bought the building to meet the requirement. The Councilman has been harping on Randall being from Alpine, NJ because it's true. I do find it to be very shady myself.

I do not want future Beth and Randall to be divorced or estranged. That is all.

It's nice to see Kate upbeat and willing to take on finishing college. It's probably something that had turned into a thing for her - not finishing. Growth.

Kate has become so much more likable and appealing since her near death experience. I think confronting her prior selves made her realize what a negative person she had become. While she is still not my favorite character, if Randall doesn’t get his priorities in order, she will move ahead of him.

Last nights episode was awesome!! I think Jack helped Nicki escape the war and it's a huge secret because Jack could have gotten in a lot of trouble

I doubt Beth and Randall get divorced, I would be heartbroken!

I think it's shady and even though he could do good things I don't think he should win. I wouldn't vote for a guy in a different state.

Yep, I’ll continue to record TIU but the ecpxcited anticipation for the next great episode is gone after seeing the last two. Hope it picks up after the break.

One of my friends pointed out that he can't remember if Jsck ever actually said Nicky died in Vietnam or if we were kids to believe it with statements like "I lost my brother in Vietnsm."

Yeah I think Jack helped him get out. That would be totally like him to do that. Maybe Jack was dishonorably discharged, I assume it would be easy to say "I was in Vietnam" without showing separation paperwork. Especially if he worked in construction, it is not like there is a background check required like banking or government work.

Help out a non-baker. How do M & M's not melt in from baking in the cake or are the somehow inserted afterwards?

Fondant is firm, so they can frost over the whole made for putting in m&ms. A bundt type pan works.
