Both of them should have gotten a facelift before running for President or VP. Too late for that now, so another missed opportunity to gain an edge over the republicans.

She looks way younger than 59. Why would she get a facelift when she already looks better than most of the early 40s people I know? Walz looks like a grandpa but that can be reassuring to idiots who think a young looking woman can’t be experienced or serious. Plus he’s energetic despite his wizened visage.

Kelly did not have a lot of pizazz beyond the resume. And I agree with PP that there was probably something that came out during vetting. His wife has been disabled for a long time. I’m a woman and pragmatic so I wouldn’t be mad at him for wanting physical intimacy with someone. But it would tarnish his public image as a loyal husband.

Hot people are more likely to win elections. As long as the facelift is done well it will enhance a candidates electability.

Like Trump?

It's almost as if people know it's wrong, especially when the video featured a 6 year old child the parents are transitioning. If you are proud of something you would want the world to see it not hide it.

It's not something I support but among the many great things he's done, it's not enough to switch my vote to a party of anti-children, anti-women weirdos who want kids without education, food, healthcare, and who want their own wives dead from lack of access to safe reproductive healthcare.

I don't think I could ever vote for the orange and couch lad. They're just too weird.

Well, serving another country's military is a default disqualifyer, religion or race doesn't matter.

Now what? Now the progressive left can keep on pretending they are ever so tolerant and are not anti-semitic.

Shove your BS up your butt.

Ya, after right wingers started the looting and fires under the cloak of the Floyd protests.

Found my person! Yes, this happened in many cities, especially NYC. I know from the horses mouth that white supremacy groups were paying actors to loot. Personal source: NYPD Intel manning command center in real time to create barricades known as pits for LEO. There were many small groups and they kept moving quickly, never entering stores or buildings just opening the doors and windows for the looters to loot. Same on Jan 6. Same when Trump ordered rubber bullets to rain on peaceful protestors.

Could oyu even imagine what trump would do if a bunch of kids tried to hug him?

This is cringe as hell. Maybe this plays at your book club, but this guy is going to come off as corny to a lot of people. Harris should have went with someone tougher, and less milquetoast, like Kelly.

Get a giant flag and a bumper sticker with foul language on it and you be as tough as the maga fake thugs.

Excuse me, excuse me.
This Tom Walters, Tom Waltz.
He’s terrible. One of the worst,
He’s one of the worst.

He set fire to Michigan,
Nobody could believe it.

And I may be taking a look at a new VP,
JT’s not the right fit, too much eyeliner, ok?
And the book, Elegant Hillbilly,
I wasn’t all that interested, to be honest.

So we’re taking a look,
Were going to be taking a look at it.

ILY.

"Elegant Hillbilly"
chef's kiss!!

Do Trump's. I'll wait.

Trump goes online -- so no need to attend church.

Well considering white suburban moms are a key swing voting block, I'll gladly take some cringe that plays at my book club. Beats the heck out of the creepy weird we get from the other side.

But she would have lost Michigan in return as so so many Muslim voters there pissed at Biden for Gaza response….

Shapiro would have caused party infighting which is sad to see a Jewish politician as controversial…

I don’t think Jewish politicians are controversial. I think politicians who behaved the was he has specifically (writing negatively about Palestinians, not responding to Islamophobia and crimes against Muslims in PA, and yes volunteering for the IDF in whatever capacity) are controversial.

This. If even one-quarter of your loyalty is to Israel and not to the United States, you should not be running for vice president or president of the USA.

It’s baffling and frankly pathetic that we have to tiptoe around an issue that is so obviously unacceptable. I don’t want anyone in elected office or in any federal position that gets within 100 yards of foreign policy that is even 1% loyal to a foreign government.

It’s bizarre to try to normalize loyalty at any level to a foreign state.

Is Biden making decisions with Ireland in mind? Trump with Scotland in mind? Of course not.

There IS a clear and unequivocal dual
loyalty conflict with some Jewish Americans. If you can’t tell that their loyalty to Israel goes far beyond your other neighbor’s loyalty to Italy or Germany or Argentina or Taiwan or wherever, that’s on you. But it’s not anti-semitic of others to point out the obvious.

All of that said, I’m relieved that Shapiro wasn’t selected. I don’t think he’s suitable for federal office in an elected or appointed capacity.

We do the same thing to Catholics running for office - questioning whether or not they'll defer to the Pope. The unacceptable part is that we do this to people.

It’s not unacceptable. I don’t want the Pope determining my access to medical care, and I don’t want Netanyahu determining my foreign policy.

Someone being Catholic doesn't mean they're going to consult the Pope when a bill codifying Roe crosses their desk. And, for the record, Shapiro has called Netanyahu "one of the worst leaders of all time."

Tim Walz was picked. He's pro-Israel too. Time to focus on that if you don't like it.

Everyone is "pro-Israel"

The question or issue is, is there any space between the US and specifically Netanyahu? Is there any compassion for civilian Palestianians?

For the right, the answer is no. Push the Palestinians into the sea and let Netanyahu reign supreme.
For the left, the answer is yes, support Israel's right to existence, militarily support Israel's ability to defend itself and provide aid for Gazan's who are in a precarious humanitairan condition.

Horse pucky. I was raised Roman Catholic and I’ve tallied five of the sacraments so far. If you vote or seek U.S. governance based on what’s good for Vatican City or the Church, you’re part of the problem, too.
