Germany voted in leaders who thought it was a good idea to become and then to stay dependent on corrupt communist Russia. So yes, they deserve to be rationing gas for as long as it takes for them to figure out what they should have done a decade ago. Innocent people are being shelled and/or gunned down in Ukraine, and Germany is helping to finance it. I don’t think that’s okay, and neither should you.

Not sure where you got the idea they don't have an army. Germany's military is in the top 5 in Europe and in the top 10 of the world.

Unfortunately the West has start clamping down on everything russian. Companies need to banned, travel and education visas canceled. Athletes and artists deported. Of course they can file for asylum; but no western attempts to bring Russia to civilized world has worked.

My car is a hybrid, and gas costs more every day. My house is cold because I keep it at 65 degrees. I'll keep it at 50 degrees if it will save Ukraine. I've got sweaters, and it will be warmer soon. But once Ukraine ends up in Russian hands, that's it. So many Ukrainians have died for what? A madman is murdering an entire country, destroying beautiful, irreplaceable cities. He's going to win a pile of rubble with almost no value by the time he's done.

Germany must stop sending money to Russia. They can cut back on fuel, which will strangle their economy, but that's the price they pay for refusing to use nuclear power and for relying too much on Russian oil and gas. They have to pay the price now or later. Maybe now is the better choice.

Ideal situation is to have Russians tied up and bleed and burned slowly for years in Ukraine.

The heritage west (5 eyes, France, etc) while more affected about ukrainian deaths than brown people deaths in Middle East/Afghanistan, are not really as truly affected by Slavic people beating up each other as there is an instinctive divide between Slavs and people west of Berlin.

The iron curtain still persists in ways people can’t readily see but subconsciously it does exist
