It’s going to be a rough year for Maret.

I thought Bullis went down and expect them to move back up. Will be fun to see if Sidwell can make the jump.

Visitation looks like they will have a very rough year.

Why?

Look at their schedule: McDonough, Maryvale, STAB, SSSAG, Stone Ridge, SJC to name but a few. They lost their best player last year, still gave some returning talent but it is a very tough schedule.

Don’t forget Visitation also plays Good Counsel.

SJC lead the league in captain's practices over the last several months and will come more ready to play than some of their competitors. I would put them more in the middle of the pack on my list.

I will take talent over Captain's practices any day and every day. Please let us know who on this list SJCHS will/can beat. Maybe Ireton would be my only guess.

OK ISL homer until someone can prove they can even compete with OLGC in the DMV they have to be the team to beat and hold the 1 spot. And don't even start with some nonsense about indoor at St. J or any of those other short-sided games they play it isn't even close to being the same.

Potomac has NEVER beaten a top 5 team in their history.
In 2024 their biggest win was PVI.
In 2023 they beat Visi in the regular season, in overtime.
In 2022 they only beat Holton & Holy Child
And now they are a pre-season #3.
All those CapBlue Chips better deliver this year.

Potomac doesn't crack the top 25 nor receive an honorable mention in either the IL or the US Lax preseason poll. PVI being in that list is also a joke.

IL US LAX
OLGC 5 8
STAB 10 9
SR 18 10
Visi 25 23

IL had no DMV teams HM but the MD public Glenelg did get HM.

US Lax HM BI,SJC, & SSASA

SSSAS will always represent. They learn early to make the extra pass and over time that wins games.

Until that pesky new shot clock expires and they are still looking for that one more pass...

They will play to the rules of the game. it would be dumb to not run out the clock when you have the lead.

The added bonus to running out the clock is we all get a break from hearing you yell "WHEELS" over and over as your team loses to Kathy - again.

I watched the most boring 4 minutes of lacrosse when they stalled for almost 4 minutes in a game last year that can no longer happen 90 seconds tick tick...

Shot clock will also benefit the more athletic teams and thus really hurt SSSAS.

Hmm, not sure that is true. SSSAS has a pretty talented and athletic midfield and attack. A shot clock may actually be good for them by forcing more pace and transition.

Do tell how you are measuring "athletic" besides just pulling it out your backside.

Was there a combine all the ISL and WCAC teams took part in that you have the 100, 300 times and pushup counts for? Can you share your "athletic" measuring wisdom with everyone else?
