That is usually what statehood means. |

Also: "Majority Leader McConnell could decide to keep his endangered Republican Senate incumbents off of the campaign trail in October so that they can confirm Trump’s nominee, but there is little political benefit in that strategy for Republicans." |
But he promised a black woman!!!! Lmao |
|
Exactly! He still gets to put the judge in, but will also get the boost from the fight. Democrats will be powerless to change anything, which will be demoralizing once they realize they can't change what is now inevitable. |
Not demoralizing at all!!!! I am energized, and so are many others. ActBlue donations are through the roof. We know we lost the SCOTUS and there is only ONE WAY to get it back. #GOTV |
It is in the constitution. Lifetime appointment |
Hilarious. Democrats did not abide by anything. They did not have the power to stop McConnell (he used the power that Democrats gave the Majority Leader only years prior when they were in charge). They complained relentlessly to no avail. Now Republicans will be taking the positions adopted by Democrats in 2016 and vice versa. It is called politics. |
You: There is no right or wrong, only power. Are you a looter, by chance? |
Facts!!! +1 |
If Democrats were smart they can use this. Trump will try to make the SC right wing for decades. But Dems have a chance at getting back the presidency and the Senate. With both houses they can do so many things. Bye bye filibuster for legislation. Hello long needed changes to strengthen our social safety net. Hello, expanded Supreme Court because the current court is extremist right wing BS that is slowly dismantling our democracy (money is speech? Wtf. Gerrymandering is fine? Wtf.). But they won't because they are terrible at messaging and have based their strategy on attracting Republicans. |
I dunno why you guys don't use poison more often. |
