You mean go after her cult? Cults are bad. Especially if they have the word "handmaiden" in them. |
Doesn’t answer the question... |
Vote. People need to vote for the lesser evil. |
I see that the same dark money that was fluffing for Kavanaugh is paying for this new whackdoodle, too. |
Correct. The Bible condones the killing of babies and children- fetuses and all. Scriptural truths Ten biblical episodes and prophecies provide an unequivocal expression of God's attitude toward human life, especially the ontological status of "unborn children" and their pregnant mothers-to-be. Brief summaries: • A pregnant woman who is injured and aborts the fetus warrants financial compensation only (to her husband), suggesting that the fetus is property, not a person (Exodus 21:22-25). • The gruesome priestly purity test to which a wife accused of adultery must submit will cause her to abort the fetus if she is guilty, indicating that the fetus does not possess a right to life (Numbers 5:11-31). • God enumerated his punishments for disobedience, including "cursed shall be the fruit of your womb" and "you will eat the fruit of your womb," directly contradicting sanctity-of-life claims (Deuteronomy 28:18,53). • Elisha's prophecy for soon-to-be King Hazael said he would attack the Israelites, burn their cities, crush the heads of their babies and rip open their pregnant women (2 Kings 8:12). • King Menahem of Israel destroyed Tiphsah (also called Tappuah) and the surrounding towns, killing all residents and ripping open pregnant women with the sword (2 Kings 15:16). • Isaiah prophesied doom for Babylon, including the murder of unborn children: "They will have no pity on the fruit of the womb" (Isaiah 13:18). • For worshiping idols, God declared that not one of his people would live, not a man, woman or child (not even babies in arms), again confuting assertions about the sanctity of life (Jeremiah 44:7-8). • God will punish the Israelites by destroying their unborn children, who will die at birth, or perish in the womb, or never even be conceived (Hosea 9:10-16). • For rebelling against God, Samaria's people will be killed, their babies will be dashed to death against the ground, and their pregnant women will be ripped open with a sword (Hosea 13:16). • Jesus did not express any special concern for unborn children during the anticipated end times: "Woe to pregnant women and those who are nursing" (Matthew 24:19). |

It sounds like it is going to be most feasible for the GOP to run this through in the Lame Duck session.
If Biden wins and the Senate turns, then all should make it clear that if the GOP forces this through in the Lame Duck session, that the Democrats will: 1) remove the filibuster 2) amend 28 US 1 to allow for up 15 justices on the supreme court; 3) pass statehood for DC and PR (if they want it) 4) Pass universal healthcare (since the ACA is effectively dead anyhow) 5) pass legislation overturning Citizens United 6) Pass legislation standardizing electronic voting and mail in voting standards 7) tighten all of the ethics loopholes the Trump administration has exploited I am sure there is more, and some of this should happen anyhow, but Mitch can try to get his one SCOTUS appointment through at this juncture, but the will of the people will have spoken, loudly and serious reform and modernizing will need to happen. |
Give DC 2 voting senators!!! |
PP here. Too bad. The Republican party is a travesty now. It has lost me and many people like me. |
| lol, I knew he knew. He'd fire his aides if they didn't tell him before approaching reporters. |
Me too. Up and down the ballot. I vote them all out now. |

Biden should just announce that he will nominate Garland. . If Mitch goes ahead with his deceit then Garland becomes the tenth justice. It restores balance, fairness and the institutional legitimacy of the Court and Senate Frankly, 5-4 decisions are bad for the country.
That's the healing move though. The what's good for the goose is good for the gander move is expanding the Court since there are no rules any more. |
That's just foolishness. The only thing worse than a 5:4 decision is a 5:5 decision. |
The healing move is to let the next President decide the nomination. |
