Look at your school directory, that’s the list right there. This loss is worse than Blair. It’s neighborhood identity. Walking with siblings and extended family. Poof gone. Future vision no more. Property value tank. Maybe property taxes up? Extra double kick you know where. No more pride. Changed forever. And true motives revealed on tape! Laughingstock of loss. All fortunes are fleeting though, this is good lesson of that.

Is MCPS pushing for a zoning change at Wootton? My friend who works in a civil engineering firm said there was contract solicitation posted for a feasibility study to use a piece of land next to the school for a commercial transport application.

That is a nice whiff of gaslighting. The size of the Blair magnet will go down - the school district, shocker, is not being transparent about final number of students, because they have combined the proposed number of criteria-based seats available at Blair and Blair has two criteria programs proposed. Add to that the loss off students from around most of the county for the Blair magnet and you get something that is far less rigorous because Blair won't have as many highly able students applying and it will likely have fewer courses offered. Mediocrity, thy name is Thomas Taylor.

It's not going to go down. There will be enough kids to fill it locally. Stop with the drama. The problem is that not all smart kids want to go into the program for a variety of reasons.
