Taylor Meeting at Wootton

This is a Montgomery County anonymous forum. Those of us that actually live in the County know that the County Executive wants to raise our taxes to pay for the waste and fraud in MCPS. That tax increase applies to the entire county. Many families will not find this funny.

Enjoy! Your taxes are going up to pay for Taylor's messes. You are paying for this.

Paying for what?

Fully funding Taylor and his traveling comedy troupe. Property taxes going up to pay for all this.

Look elfie, the these extra legal costs you refer to will be more than offset by the closure of wootton vs keeping it open. Win. For us, not you.

The change will save the rest of us money. It's you guys who are costing the district (and hence taxpayers) more money by forcing them to pay to defend against a lawsuit that everyone knows will never succeed, just because you're mad and want to throw a temper tantrum.

Probably Dufief losers.

Classy… there was a student who spoke you know? I was nervous for him. And I was nervous for the staff too. The angry mob was very angry. Maybe they should have to go sit in that counselor’s office and work for a week. People seem to be losing perspective here.

Kid was a prop there doing the work of the parent trying to get her way I'm sure. Just move to Crown and enjoy the new facility. Stop the complaining while the rest of us hope our kids have as nice a building!

The kid was advocating for the school to be moved because of the horrible conditions he has to deal with everyday. The angry mob resisted booing him. But barely.

You all make me want to see this angry mob video…where can i find it and around what minute? It sounds funny

If it's good, we should create a meme with some good music behind it!

There is absolutely no savings. Wootton will still have to be upgraded to be used as a holding school. The number of buses needed to transport students will have to increase. That's more bus drivers and more buses and more diesel fuel.

Superintendent Taylor is currently spending many millions of dollars on legal fees throwing a temper tantrum that the Maryland State Board of Education declared the MCPS electric bus contract illegal. If you are really concerned about litigation costs, you should ask him why he has been fighting a losing battle on that case for over two years.

The MCPS budget is going up, not down. Your property taxes are going up, not down.

I just saw the video. So ONE kid showed up to voice his support for the move with no questions? Where are the rest of the kids? Did they leave him out to dry or was it a parent too scared to advocate for themself and using their kids to do it? If I'm a parent wanting Crown, I'd be scared of speaking up in front of those mobsters! Funny - we haven't heard many things from the kids wanting to stay - just the crazy parents. Kids are probably pumped to get out of that old dump.

Who is everyone? There seem to be thousands of families from Wootton, Magrudet, Gaithersburg, etc. who think it has merit.

That lawsuit will go nowhere in pretty short order. However, the multiple levels of costs that, to date, are unaccounted for with these ill-conceived regional programs will cost a lot more.

How many millions did he spend on the Mahmoud case when MCPS merely had to reinstate the same opt out it previously offered? Seems like politics drives Taylor, not budgets.

Because you have such a sharp crystal ball, can I have the upcoming lottery numbers?

How you Wootton fools managed to bungle up and lose a top performing school of 55 years is beyond comprehension. You must have pissed off the wrong people over and over for a very long time. Which actually I can see now.

You thought the game was about having your traffic study phd give a testimony, but you had lost long before it. Blue ribbon in rubix cube robot not the same as people skills. 55 years.

Prediction…student and parent involvement will be way down at crown as “helicopters” won’t be able to hover close like on parkway. No pride, as it represents a loss and ensuing personal embarrassment. Loss of identity. Gone. Eliminated. 55 years. Unconscionable failure.

Blair Magnet fools too?

Lots of fools in MCPS now as Taylor wipes out programs. Why don’t you list all the fools?

Maybe there is just one fool, Taylor.

There aren't even thousands of families. Gatihersburg and Magruder wouldn't care.
