The Wootton people who can walk to the building, who value the ability to walk to school above all else. Including their children’s health.

They are the members of the wootton community who are adamantly against the superintendents recommendation. Many others in the community are for the move to crown.

Maybe we don’t want our children to spend 40 minutes each way on the bus daily because it will negatively impact their health. We are going to be the farthest community from Crown. Our kids will be getting on those buses before 7 am. We bought our tiny townhouse to be able to walk to all 3 schools.

OMG are you the one who writes all over nextdoor how much she hates her townhouse but bought because she values her son's education more than a house? Girllllllll-we all value our kids educations, let's move on, k? Also, maybe you are spending too much time in that townhouse and should get out and realize that Crown is no more than 15-20 mins away IN TRAFFIC.

Also, the people in the Wootton single families don't like you if you live in the townhouses. 😂

It's not 40 minutes. I live in Crown and my son takes a 20 min bus ride to Wootton. Your kids will be fine. Or sell your townhouse and move to Crown.

Crown kids don’t go to Wootton. Rio kids do and the ride is over 30 minutes so stop your lying.

Wootton single family homes were all built in the early 70s and are not the mansions that you imagine. The majority of the houses in Rockshire and Fallsbend are split level 1,800 sq ft houses that are about the size of my townhouse.

I'm somewhat sympathetic but you have got to stop with the hyperbole. It does NOT take 40 minutes to go from Wootton to Crown. It’s 15-20 minutes at rush hour, quicker at the times when the high school buses are running (7am / 3pm). Maybe on a bad day your kid has to spend 40 minutes total round trip on the bus -- and I get that that's not ideal. But it's also not the end of the world and you aren't going to win people over to your side by lying.

Also…the Western parts of Travilah will continue to be the farthest from Crown just as they are the farthest from Wootton. Our kids are doing fine, but maybe that’s because our townhouses are so nice?

Girlll-on a school bus it’s a 40 minute ride. We will be one of the first stops.

LMAO! Of course. I would expect no less.

Though to be fair, since Wootton parents have lawyered up, that's also the smart and responsible thing to do.

So smart and responsible. I bet said lawyers loved you all yelling at Taylor and sharing your legal strategy and “evidence” in a public forum.

Use that money to pay for tutoring scholarships or something productive.

I bet your kids would do a lot better if they didn’t have to get on the bus so early, if they could hang out with friends after school and not worry about how they will get home.

Anyone care about Travilah folks who are currently spending nearly an hour on a bus? https://ww2.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/Transportation/busroutes/04234bus.pdf

Then, drive them. Most of our kids spend 30-40 minutes or longer on the bus to their local high school. My kids have a 15 minute ride to school and a 35 minute ride home on the bus for a 10 minute or less drive for me.

They are spending an hour on the bus on roads that have no traffic in the morning. Now that they will have to go to Crown expect that ride to be a lot longer.
