To the point of viability definitely, and more nuanced after that point. |
That’s supposed to make me understand?!?! Sounds like something that happens on death row. |
More non-answers. This has to be legislated. What law do you write? What week is termination with no questions? Until birth, what specifically do you mean by nuance? What procedure is allowed for the abortion and what isn’t? Are fetuses given painkillers first and at what week, if so? You are talking in vague terms because you don’t want to be honest about the reality of what you want to support. But your vague statement has to be turned into a law in order for this to work. So what law do you write? |
Horse hockey! The evangelical ultra right are misogynists and are cramming your religious clap trap down our throats. No one has the right to make a decision about my body other that myself. |
What I support is already law. Medical people can sort out the protocols. Genetically abnormal pregnancies are already terminated at the rate of between 60 to 90% so it seems people have found a way without you badgering them. |
I will add that this percentage holds internationally. |
... you're seriously making the argument that the Virgin Mary has been "written out" of the Bible in order to uphold the patriarchy? Mary is the most famous woman who ever lived and the adoration of her is so intense that it is a subject of controversy whether she should be prayed to. Her influence is so broad that Muslim women wear the hijab to imitate her iconic head covering. Her name Mary/Maria/Marie/Miriam is found in virtually every language and has endured as a popular name for thousands of years. Look, women can get the short end of the stick on many things, but you sound like a lunatic when you argue that Mary isn't properly revered. |
But you actually are.. |
I am actually pro-choice but with limits and with being brutally honest about what that actually means. You are the one who won’t say what exactly you are supporting because you know how horrific it is. You won’t take a stand, because you know what you support is morally and ethically appalling. You won’t take a stand, you hide behind vagueness, because you can’t face the reality of what you support. That is fine. You can take a morally cowardly position if you want. But this refusal to be honest about what Democrats actually support is why OP is in the position of wondering why women aren’t single-issue voters. The reason is that many women know what the Democrats are advocating for — since the official stance is to obfuscate — and they don’t want to be on that side. |
Well, Democrats now call me a uterus-haver and menstruator, and won’t call me a mother, so both parties have reduced me to body parts. |
I have never had an abortion and don’t attend any church. Religious people have their own beliefs, which they are free to have. Idk wtf your Hank and bible camp claptrap is about, but it’s utterly ridiculous and nonsensical. Nobody cares about your long winded anecdotes about you and your life except you. Killing unborn, healthy babies is not something that most Americans are down with past the first trimester, and elective abortion is what is being pushed as a right. It’s not a right, it’s a choice and surgical abortion of healthy babies are only performed in abortion clinics because no doctor besides a doctor that specializes in abortion wants to be killing healthy babies because mom decides after conception she doesn’t want to raise her child, because it’s inconvenient. You can pretend all women have abortions and then decide they don’t want other women to have abortions, but that’s not me at all. If you feel like you want to make more random guesses about people posting here, go for it, but it is extremely unlikely you have any clue what you’re ranting about. Unborn babies are just as valuable and important as their mothers are. They are just as important as you are. Any suggestion that an unborn child is disposable and not a human and not alive marks you as a monster that doesn’t value life, which you will protest, but is true. I don’t think abortion should be outlawed, but it should be rare. Very rare. It should be reserved for cases or rape and/or incest, and for women who are experiencing life threatening medical conditions. Not for women who elect to kill their child for convenience. I don’t think old people or sick people or anyone who is not terminally ill should be euthanized as Canada is now doing, because life is valuable and precious. My mom was a socialist and a feminist. She had every right to choose and embrace whatever political views she wanted and did. I have my views and find your post utterly laughable. Talk about talking out your @ss. lol. 🤡 |
