Women who say they aren't voting on the single issue of abortion rights

Stop by your county health department to get free birth control.

Op - yea of course. But the only form of birth control that is 100% effective is abstinence. And I am pretty sure the Bible said we should submit to our husbands. Ahhh republicans and Christians are so very hypocritical!

Live in a southern state. Women can get female healthcare here.

We are not 3rd world in the south. And have renown medical facilities.

Does nobody think about the ramifications of their actions until it affects them individually? Southern states are trying to ban abortions in all instances - rape, incest, health of the mother. Why would you let your daughters, yourself, your nieces, your sisters, go through such pain? HOW IS THIS NOT IMPORTANT TO YOU!?! Why is your money more important than your health?

A D&C is not abortion. Managing an etopic pregnancy is not abortion.

Abortion isn't healthcare, despite the new spin.

NP (and a woman). Exactly this ^^. Nearly 96% of abortions are elective / are not performed specifically because of rape/incest, fetal abnormality, or the life/health of the mother. That is tragic and evil. If having a child is not something you want, there plenty of preventive options. Use them.

OP - yes states can do something about it but many southern states are going even further in the right where it is not allowed at all. Many women don't even know they are pregnant at 6 weeks. Abortion should be allowed up to 24 weeks, which is 4 weeks after a normal anatomy scan.

I argue with my mom (staunch pro lifer) all the time about this. She insists if women get pregnant accidentally or by rape or whatever then they should just be forced to carry the baby and give it up for adoption. What she doesn't have any empathy for is how hard it is on a woman's body when they are pregnant. My body is permanently hurt due to my 3 pregnancies. All very much wanted. But I have terrible pains and I don't think I could carry another pregnancy even if I wanted to.

Your mom is wrong. A rape victim does not need her involved in the situation in any way. Nor does any other pregnant women.

Your mom needs to concern herself with her own uterus. She should have the right to do that privately.

Elective abortion is murder. Call it what you want to cover the fact, but that's the fact.
Thank your moms for not making this choice.

Abortions are increasing. Infant mortality is increasing. Med student do not want to match with residencies in trump abortion bans states. Couples in Alabama had their fertility treatments cancelled.

And it is going to get worse. Don't carry your pregnancies in abortion ban states ladies!

Where the hell are you getting this number from?

The current study revealed that 47.2% of pregnancy terminations were performed due to fetal structural malformations, 16.4% to genetic abnormalities and 36.4% to maternal/obstetrical indications

Get ready to incarcerate 20 percent of the women in this country including millions of moms. Good bye to your relatives, friends, neighbors and community members.

I mean, yeah, it is entirely possible to not have sex. Go over to the relationship board and see how many sexless marriages are there.

Believe it or not, women also have opinions about immigration, crime, crowded public schools, Title IX, and yes, even taxes.

I agree with this, and I'm a woman voting for Harris.

You should read the study you posted: All cases between 10 and 33 weeks of gestation between January 2021 and June 2023 were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were divided into two groups as group 1 with 11+0 to 21+6 gestational weeks and group 2 for those at 22+0 and 33+0 gestational weeks.

It did not include pregnancy in the 0-9 weeks of gestation when the vast majority of abortions are done.

Stop lying.

All civilized countries (including all of the progressive ones in Europe) have limits on abortion. We can discuss what those limits should be, but democrats won’t come to the table for the discussion.

Acc to JAMA, infant mortality is UP after Roe overturned. How do you sleep at night? This is not fear mongering.

My breast cancer treatment cost over 200k in one year. If you have crappy insurance or no insurance how does one afford that? You aren't getting the type of care I am if you fall into the later category.
