Do you not have daughters? Sisters? Nieces? What will you say to them when they need a D&C because they had a miscarriage and aren't able to get one and go into septic shock? What happens when their fallopian tube ruptures due to an ectopic pregnancy and they start bleeding internally? Does nobody think about the ramifications of their actions until it affects them individually? Southern states are trying to ban abortions in all instances - rape, incest, health of the mother. Why would you let your daughters, yourself, your nieces, your sisters, go through such pain? HOW IS THIS NOT IMPORTANT TO YOU!?! Why is your money more important than your health? |
I live in a southern state with stricter abortion limits than I would like. Even here, a woman can get an abortion for an ectopic pregnancy. You’re fear mongering.
All civilized countries (including all of the progressive ones in Europe) have limits on abortion. We can discuss what those limits should be, but democrats won’t come to the table for the discussion. |
A dog with a mouthful of car bumper is difficult to understand. |
Democrats supported and support Roe. This isn't hard. |
Major approved of the guidelines in place under roe. Trump blew that up. What an idiot. |

Really? Lets look at this state by state: https://abcnews.go.com/US/state-state-breakdo...r/story?id=111312220
Not sure how helpful this is in Georgia if the victim doesn't want to go to the police and file a report. Georgia bans abortions at six weeks or later. Exceptions are allowed in cases of rape or incest up to 20 weeks of pregnancy, if a police report was filed regarding the incident. Idaho has banned nearly all abortions, with the only exceptions being to save the life of the woman. What happens in these states if you can't get a counseling session for weeks? |
A D&C is not abortion. Managing an etopic pregnancy is not abortion. Abortion isn't healthcare, despite the new spin. |
OP - it is a medical abortion. That is how its coded. And they are NOT ALLOWED in many states. |
It most certainly is as you will see on election day. |
It’s not like the next POTUS can do anything about it. Congress can (but has failed to find a consensus in decades), and States can. |
Because I am not a walking uterus.
Believe it or not, women also have opinions about immigration, crime, crowded public schools, Title IX, and yes, even taxes. |
Trump can and will make the situation even worse. Harris has vowed to fight to improve the situation. |
OP - yes states can do something about it but many southern states are going even further in the right where it is not allowed at all. Many women don't even know they are pregnant at 6 weeks. Abortion should be allowed up to 24 weeks, which is 4 weeks after a normal anatomy scan. I argue with my mom (staunch pro lifer) all the time about this. She insists if women get pregnant accidentally or by rape or whatever then they should just be forced to carry the baby and give it up for adoption. What she doesn't have any empathy for is how hard it is on a woman's body when they are pregnant. My body is permanently hurt due to my 3 pregnancies. All very much wanted. But I have terrible pains and I don't think I could carry another pregnancy even if I wanted to. |
Women also use birth control.
Stop by your county health department to get free birth control. |
