If he votes for an abortion ban, his career is over.

A literal interpretation of the Comstock Act would criminalize sending and receiving shipments of any materials necessary to provide any kind of abortion care without exceptions, although it would be practically impossible to enforce.

People really need to understand how Congress works. The party with the most people in either chamber is the LEADER. They decide what bills come to the floor, what oversight gets done in committees, etc. Even if Hogan was an extremely liberal GOP he would give MAGA the Senate Majority. And we all know the leader will be from the MAGA wing.

It is no longer (not sure it ever was) about INDIVIDUALS. It's about WHO holds the MAJORITY.

Arrest thousands? Sure, if they really wanted to. But more likely it would be applied to woman who the GOP doesn’t like: Democrats, Black women and poor women.

I know Hogan is popular and polling well; however, I do think that Montgomery, PG and Baltimore will revert to the mean and elect the D in the fall. Much of Maryland is highly educated and know exactly what voting in Hogan would do to the Senate.

If you don't understand that there would be targeted investigations and targeted arrests for the purposes of embarrassing, harassing, and intimidating women advocating for their human and civil rights, then please understand that. And red state governments would fully embrace Comstock and probably enact parallel state laws. WAKE UP.
