I read the deleted was some kid spraying graffiti. Mare wasn't trying to cover up something sinister, just didn't want the hassle of tracking the kid down at neighbor's insistence.

Thats what it was. She just deleted footage of that kid (a neighbor behind them?) who I recall was flipping off the camera. But why didn’t mare check the footage for the prowler that morning (in the first episode)? Did they tell her it was not set up yet?

In the first morning clip, the wife tells him he needs to set up the security camera and he says he will do it. So it wasn’t done yet.

I rewatched. He went out to the shed for the gun the morning of prowler. Gun was there but camera not set up yet. That night he heard a noise, went out to shed, gun gone. Months later he notices gun is back.

He’s a former cop. He knows there has been a prowler and things are missing. Why not have the gun in the house with the bullets in another location OR in a gun safe? He specifically went to get the gun the morning of the prowler so it’s not like he wasn’t going to use it. Who would keep it so far away? I know he mentioned attic and grandkids as the reason it was out of the house, but it could have been locked up inside the house.

He’s just a forgetful old dude trying to keep his grandkids safe; wondering why he didn’t adhere to some different kind of protocol is a waste of time. Owning the gun wasn’t even his choice- it was a gift.

I hope it’s subtitled “Billy’s Revenge.”

Did anyone catch Father Dan's look when Mare told him they release Deacon Mark? Mare told him since John confessed they were releasing Mark. He looked to the side as if that was a bad idea and maybe he wasn't guilty of killing Erin but he could still be a problem.

Season 2?

Why is no one focusing on the fact that they were kissing cousins? So gross. And he was a married cousin falling for his underage cousin. Barf. Ryan killed his second cousin.

We’re not focusing on it because we discussed it earlier in the thread and moved on.

They weren't kissing cousins, makes light of it being sexual abuse

He was in a position of power. It was abuse. Incest.

I love the people from the area who say the accents were bad.

Um.... no actually you sound like that!

Not only was she spot on but as a Brit she gets huge props for nailing it so well.

I agree. I’m not from delco, but from the county directly next door, and to us, this is what you sound like.

+1

I grew up nearby and had cousins in Delaware County. It sounded accurate to me - maybe a little too subtle, if anything.

Strictly speaking, no, it was not incest. It was her dad's cousin. Legally she could marry her own first cousin and it not be incest. Her dad's cousin is a few relations further away from that. You're focused on the wrong thing.

He was an adult peer of her dad's who was married with kids.

Mare so many twists to eat up time and ended with a whimper. At least undoing set up twists and left you with none to not raise expectations

It was raping your cousin’s kid. Wrong on many levels.
