Where are the Save the Children QAnoners on this one? |

Jim Bob and Michelle are 10000% complicit.
I can't get over how Josh is welcome over for big family gatherings and events with all the kids and grandkids, but Jill and her family are the ones who are uninvited, because they no longer go along with JB's orders and optics. Jim Bob is the grossest. |
| If you haven't watched Meghan Kelly interview Jim Bob and Michelle, it will probably cement your dislike for them. |
Probably not JB, the biological parents are not the abusers most of the time (note: MOST). It’s not like the Duggars were isolated away; they attended those conferences all the time, where Josh and his siblings were around unrelated adult men very often. The man in charge of their pseudo-religion, Bill Gothard, was accused of inappropriate contact with young girls. So definitely not a stretch that Josh could have been abused as a pre-teen, and there are plenty of people who could have done it. Or he could be a sexual deviant who never got therapy or any type of real consequences for his actions and thought he could get away with stuff. |
What was the nature of the CP? How solid was the evidence that they searched for and downloaded it themselves? How many files? I am sure you’re serious but not sure you know what you’re talking about. |
+1 Jill isn’t welcome bc of birth control and alcohol. But Josh molests kids and he’s forgiven. The thinking is warped. It’s very sad. Lots of therapy and distancing is needed for those Duggar kids. |

The sad thing is that the Duggars and the people like them are just the extreme end of several scales like religiosity (they’re over in cult land), misogyny, general brokenness, but a lot of people share some parts of their views. |
This. I posted earlier about the many factors that could influence a plea. Feds take CP very seriously. There are absolutely reasons why individual defendants get shorter sentences or get to plea to lesser charges, but it is absolutely not because Feds would never prosecute possession without distribution or because they don't take CP seriously. |
Where are you getting that he is a rapist? |
Not a peep. So much projection. "Save the Children" evangelicals indeed. |
This is how it works in evangelical circles. |

Some years ago, there was an episode of Law and Order SVU that was loosely based on the Duggar family. It’s episode 7 from season 17...
Here’s the synopsis... I'm glad that a previous reviewer mentioned the Duggar family on which this episode was clearly based. Could not remember the name, but the family had to give up their show as too many scandals were attributed to them to sustain the all important ratings. The Duggars were from Arkansas, the Bakers are from upstate New York and there are places upstate that are as primitive as the Ozarks and have people like Christopher Sieber and Geneva Carr and their children who number their kids in double digits. These two have a reality TV show and during the taping their 13 year old daughter collapses and it's revealed she's pregnant. The aims of SVU to find a child rapist and the family and those associated with the show is damage control. This was a great episode and when the perpetrator is unmasked it isn't a surprise, but it still will creep you out, So...the rapist/perpetrator was the family’s pastor. It makes sense that the Duggar kids would be around a pastor often. Maybe Josh was abused by someone within their “home church”/religious organization. They certainly took many road trips in the early days when the kids were younger. There were probably many times when the kids were unsupervised or meeting with a church leader of some kind. |
And how do you know this? |

Let's not forget Mike Huckabee has big connections with this family and Josh specifically.
I hope this derails Sarah's candidacy for governor. |
