He said so. He raped his sisters. And now Notorious Child rapist/GQP donor Josh Duggar was taken into custody by Homeland Security yesterday and today he pleaded not guilty to the charges that his attorney begged the judge not to read aloud. The charges are “receiving and possessing child pornography.” See a pattern? |

I know someone who was soliciting minors online. He was busted in a a secret police sting. He was in prison for about 6mon-1year and he’s been home since. Of course he can’t ever be around kids again, nor left alone with this kids but not sure about that. But it certainly wasn’t a long punishment.
It’s an interesting theory that Anna didn’t have a choice about sex or getting pregnant. That wouldn’t be surprising and maybe she’s a brave face all of these years. She just comes across as submissive and forgiving and wanting to be with him. Or maybe she turned him in to save herself and her children. |
While that may be true, zero empathy. Duggars are a horrific cult as are the Bates as well and all the other TLC reality stars. TLC profits while children get destroyed. Lovely. |
No he didn’t. He said he “groped” them. And his sisters, the victims, also said that he touched them. https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/people/2015/06/05/duggars-family-sex-scandal-fox-news-second-interview/28529587/ |
Not in Arkansas. |
This. The network needs to be canceled. |
Evangelicals aren’t opposed to birth control. The Duggar’s aren’t representative of typical evangelicals. |
He had intercourse with them? I most have stopped following that story too soon. |

In addition to Jimbob and Michelle, TLC has culpability in continuing to give this abhorrent family a platform so they could continue to profit from presenting a falsified image of wholesome, while harboring a pedophile and child molestor.
And taking a turn... I have to say I've come to really respect Jill's husband, Derick. He supports her in everything, comes across as really gentle and loving in their Q&A videos, is exposing Jill to "public school" books and movies. He said if they ever have a daughter, he would want her to be whatever she wants to be, and to aim to be financially independent from any man. He also believes that the earth is in fact billions of years old. And is the one who helped support her to ask for fair compensation from their television work (hence a big reason why he enrolled in law school). They're still very, very conservative Christians, but at least seem to be open to a more balanced way of living. He seems like a decent man, and I'm glad that at least one of the girls was able to "escape" to a more loving family life. |
Is it true that this one couple isn't welcome at the Duggar family events? Really? Are they completely ostracized? or just not invited for televised things? Did they talk about this publicly? |
Yes, they are not welcome to many Duggar events. They talk about it repeatedly. They are not in contact with all the Duggar kids, but don’t get into the specifics of exactly who. Google to read the various stories. |

In an odd way, thinking about this makes me respect Mark Salling for having killed himself. At least he made sure he could never hurt another child again.
Isn't Anna the one whose brother said if she wanted to leave Josh, his family would help her? I mean .... maybe she should ask if that offer is still on the table? |
They don't talk about it candidly, but they do discuss the rift somewhat in their youtube Q&As [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYFB_-RlE8d-4QuEEhv7zXA/videos]. Jill and Derick were ostracized when (1) they asked for fair compensation (Jim Bob is the patriarch and controls all finances from the show), and then (2) decided to no longer be a part of the show. Yes, Jill and Derick are generally not welcome to the house (I think it may be a bit mutual) except for very specific, very rare invites. |
It’s only been said about 25 times on this thread. |
This only happened when he couldn't make money off of Jill and her family anymore. He also chose a very sheltered Jill for a wife. I'm not sold on him just yet, I actually think he has an agenda of his own.. I am happy Jill is going to counseling and hopefully she finds it helpful enough that should she need or want to divorce in the future she can do so. |
