EL Haynes - 7
Mundo Verde 8th - 29

How do I order to keep both in play? Right now, EL is above Mundo...

Swami assumes this is for PK3, and if so, if in your real order, keep as is. Swami thinks you'll get offers for both before the 4th of July

Swami, what’s you’re MO? I know you said you’re on spring break but ever since December when you started another thread, you’ve been responding to like one out of 15 posts. Why bother?

Swamis MOs in order:
1) unpaid job (parenting)
2) paid job (stressful)
3) terrible reality TV choices
4) swamiing on anonymous internet sites.

-swami

Then stop posting when you don’t have time to respond. And if you do, at least go back to the dozens that asked first. I couldn’t care less, but it’s annoying and rude.

Hey! Chill and be nice to swami! This is their extracurricular and you are taking it way too seriously.

Deep breaths. DEEP breaths. You are entirely TOO invested in this. It's all in jest and solely for entertainment purposes. Goodness. For someone with nothing to gain from it, you seem to need something more to do to pass the time. Ignore the thread if it's that stressful, annoying, and rude. Are all PTA presidents this Type A and neurotic when it comes to trivial shit? Serious question.

-signed non-anxious PK3 poster who was ghosted because hello, either way, we'll end up where we end up, Swami prediction of hope or not.

IME with a few PTA presidents - and also school auction chairs - they tend to be tightly wound, control freaks who sre certain that they know best.

Mundo Verde 8th St #18

If these are your best numbers, Swami thinks you will end up at 8th for the year, because Stokes won't be able to guarantee getting both your kids in.

You will volunteer once a month at the Capitol Area Food Bank before evening pickup.

Thanks Swami! We’re currently admitted at Stokes East End. Hard to decide between that and MV8. We live right in the middle. What do you advise oh great one?

MV 8 - 133
Breakthrough Takoma - 29
SSMA - 90

Swami thinks you will stall in the 30s for MV8, but receive a SSMA offer in August, and a Takoma offer by Count Day. Golden Beads it is!

Thanks, Swami! Really crossing fingers we can get an offer from Takoma before the start of the school year, but we'll just wait and see I guess. Enjoy your reality TV!

Dude, it's not that serious. Deep breaths. Swami doesn't owe anyone here anything, and she gives a little insight on some posts when she can. Try to keep some sense of perspective here.

I don’t care if she’s MIA, but to start a thread and then go ghost to new parents that already have some angst and probably refreshing every few minutes for any amount of Hope seems cruel. I can breathe fine. I am at a great school and didn’t play lottery. I just think it’s wrong to start a thread months ago and not even respond. Why start the thread?

Swami, I have been PTA president and graciously past that torch. I promise I’m a nice person but feel sad for the anxious posters you ghosted. It’s almost like you get off on being popular.

This comment is full of nonsense and at least one grammatical error. If you are at a great school, why the heck are you on this forum and on this thread, typing out silly comments? I have no doubt that you are very far from a nice person.

NP. There are many people that are happy with their schools that come to this forum. This forum is used for various reasons outside the chaos of lottery season.

True, but they dont post ridiculous comments like the former PTA president. You see the difference, right?

I'm going to back you up Deputy-- I think this is going to be a weird year for Hill schools. I still say no on the #10 K.

-Swami

Swami - our PK3 lottery #s were so horrible I have no specific school questions to ask, but as a Hill family just trying to learn as much as possible about the local school scene can you elaborate a bit more on what you think will contribute to it being a weird year for Hill schools? Cheers...

Not Swami, but you should do a post-lottery for AT OK Ave and Lee East End.

Swami thinks the prospect of commuting against traffic in the morning vs. heading to Dave Thomas Circle leaves the 8th vs EE decision squarely on the side of east end.

This is just a tic Swami sees in the crystal ball. Those with little kids are staying on Capitol Hill, and raising their kids there. Have CHML in swing space and bussing may send some more families to their home base schools, and I see those lists locking with earlier numbers than before.
