While injuries may have played some factor in those results, the Patriots are still a force to be reckoned with and their next 4 games give them a chance at a direct path back to the top spot.

SSSA this year is not a competitor in the ISL. Saying Yorktown kept them within single digits is not saying that much.

SMH public school lacrosse.

Funny you SMH at public school lacrosse when the perennial Private powerhouse can barely beat a bunch of public school kids. Face it, most of these DC area Private school teams are not good and have over inflated opinions of themselves.

Agree that Battlefield came to play last night and has some talent, interested to see them in a more competitive game. As many suspected, Yorktown is down this year. They are a very young team (best players are sophomores) and it showed last night. Their coach has a lot of work to do to get them back to the top this season.

I'm just glad I didn't pay that private school tuition and property taxes combined. I thank all the private school parents in Fairfax County for subsidizing my child's public school education. Oh and she's heading to an Ivy league school next year.

Be careful what you wish for......

Just because SSSA and BI are having down years, it doesn't mean that private schools with the ability to recruit are not going to typically be stronger overall. It's common sense. Good Counsel, Stone Ridge, Visitation are all really strong this year. Anytime a Virginia public school can knock off a private, like Oakton recently did against Bullis, it is a nice accomplishment. Wonder how Madison will do against The Potomac School later this week?

Did Battlefield’s JV also play last night? How’d they do?

I guess Yorktown can hang their hats on winning the combined scoring battle...

IDK how your daughter going to an ivy league school is relevant to the conversation? So great for her? Every family makes choices on what is best for their kids.
