Oakton High Schools, Sydney Connors is a threat. Watch out for her, with only starting playing goalie in high school she is one of the best. ROLL COUGZZZZZZ |
Still not as good as the Battlefield goalie. |
Top 10 rankings this week? |
12-9 Oakton over Woodson |
#11 on Oakton is a stud! Such a fun player to watch. |
Who? |
Kudos to the 2 oakton assistants for the win.
#11 who…. How about who cares. Lacrosse is a team sport…. |
Agree on #11 for Oakton (their JMU commit). She owned the draw circle all night and brought Oakton back from a 0-3 deficit early. Woodson’s JMU commit looked good too. The JMU coach knows what she is doing, which is why they are ranked #5 in the IL D1 poll. |
Neither is as good as the battlefield goalie |
Thanks Buddy… |
I have a serious question. In Fairfax, why do the majority of the High Schools do invitationals on the weekends instead of playing games during the week? This doesn’t seem to be nearly as popular in Loudon, PW, or the rest of the state. Are there advantages? What’s the reason behind this method. Just curious |
Calm it down. It’s all how you finish. We are in the embryonic stages of a long season. We can all agree that Battlefield will be there at the end since their league doesn’t have the depth of the best region in public school lacrosse in Virginia. Oakton will be a very tough out for sure but there are other very good teams that will improve or implode. Once all the teams get into their conference games then let’s revisit the “best” goalie and so forth. Defense wins championships. And to the parent that wrote about a team winning, he/she has that spot on. D1 commits don’t win, TEAMS win. |
Outdated Scheduling rules in the county. It’s complex but it boils down to you can play more games this way. They need to toss the bureaucrats that come up with this and get to this century and allow teams to just set more games like everyone else in the world. (Not unlimited, but just the 14/15 that they can do now without the red tape FCPS employs). |
Roll to English class tomorrow morning please... |
Battlefield does have middle school talent coming. Fairfax county does too, the difference is that it is wide spread among many high schools. A good majority of the Prince William travel girls are zoned to 1 school |
