The SSSAS dad who is a Madlax coach is Cabell's bag man. Has been delivering Alexandria kids to Madlax for years in return for favors.

BIG game today, Holton at SSSA, should be a good indicator of how the post season will end up. Would not be surprised at all if the St. Stephens player's arrogance gets the best of them. Holton could very easily pull the "upset" today as I've heard through the grapevine that SSSA has had some intersquad drama recently.

You clearly don't have good sources. My daughter assures me that this SSSAS team is stronger than ever before and they are very prepared for any team they see this year. Quite frankly, Holton Arms does not have the offensive or defensive weapons to stack up against the saints.

And Hilton barely beat Holy Child earlier this week but that says probably more about a Holy Child program on the rise.

Well the SSSA girls won, so there goes your on the decline theory.

SSSA won but it was a close game and they barely took starters out. Playing at home on grass was definitely an advantage for them because Holton players are used to turf. Game could have been won by Holton on another day, it was no blow out. Both strong teams.

Good god the Holton parents so delusional its embarrassing.

I was thinking same for SSSA parents who think that team is unbeatable - it was a 3 point game.

I didn't see the game but the difference between a turf field and the SSSAS grass field is substantial.

I dont think the SSSAS parents are like that. If you attend local high school girl lacrosse games you will notice that the SSSAS parent are some of the most chill on the side lines. They are also well-aware that this year's team, and next year's team, are some of the weakest teams SSSAS has fielded in lacrosse in years, maybe ever. I guess SSSAS fell down a few years in recruiting. Its bound to happen when a program has been so good for so long. Its still the best team in the ISL, well unless Visi manages to beat them this year which may very well happen. BI, which is in the WCAC, is very likely to beat them again (and by a wide margin for the first time) this year in the VA State championship.

All that said about SSSAS, this isn't actually about them. Its about Holton and how with very little reason, and certainly no history, the Holton parents have been getting on this forum and crowing about their lax team. Its laughable. Yes, this year should be a good year for the team. But its not a reason to act like your program is comparable to the great teams in the ISL that have made the top 20 nationally, often more than once. Holton has never been a top ranked team nationally, not even close. Sure that could change one day but it hasn't yet and wont this year either. SSSAS on the other hand has been in the top 20 nationally for years. Visit has been in the top 20 a few times, and BI has been a nationally top team every year for the past 5 years or so. Lets see Holton achieve anything close to any of those schools before they act like their lax program is great.

Ok, we have given enough airtime to the Homely-Arms mother’s that want to peacock about having an average girls lacrosse team.

There is no reason that girls lacrosse can only be dominated by two teams and I think that's the point here. Why can't Holton get excited that their team is strong and want to continue to build on that? I understand that SSSA and Visi want it to always be a given that it's a two-team race but that can change in the same way that boys lacrosse has changed over the years. No reason to tell a team of hard working athletes that they are not allowed to be excited, even if you don't enjoy a change to status quo.

Totally juvenile and uncalled for.

Sure, keep telling yourself that. This thread is proof that you are wrong.
