But I will never understand why we as a nation with a debt/GDP ratio of 125% fiscally supports a developed country with a ratio of 60%? Why are the weapons given and not sold, it’s ridiculous.

I do not understand it geopolitically or as a so called “democracy” that does not allow non Jews the same rights. The really question is why the US government is forcing one religion on the Middle East.

Muslims make up 93% of the religion in the Middle East.

Yes but the US is not supporting Muslims only Israel. In fact the US is against all Muslim even in the US because of Israel. Israel wants everything but for free. By free we all know that means the US paying the price and Israel hates us.

There are Muslims in Israel, 18% of the population.

Simple, look at the alternative which is Hamas. This is an easy choice for the US government.

Why, what a surprise. Hamas makes it impossible for the US to support Palestinian diplomatic efforts. Gee, who does that benefit?

lol so the right tell the hostage families they are happy their children were taken and killed by Hamas. Calls them all leftists(like you do) and traitors to Israel. You think the antisemitics are on the left. What a moron.

Left will oppose genocide anywhere. You will not and hate those who speak out against genocide, apartheid, crimes against humanity, etc.

I thought all Arabs and or Muslims wanted to kill Israel and wipe it off the map.

26,000 Jews lived in arab countries in 2009. A couple thousand in Iran and Turkey and Azerbaijan as well. They were mostly old and decided not to make Aliyah to Israel.

Bahrains ambassador to the U.S. is a Bahraini Jewish woman . Tunisia has a Jewish representative in government. Many other governments in the Me did as well.

Israel is not unique for its 20% Arab population.

That’s not true. The largest Muslim country is Indonesia.

There are way more Christians than just 7%.

Israel should know. It’s trying to destroy the largest Christian country in the Arab world: Lebanon.

How many ancient churches have Israel destroyed just in this war alone in Lebanon and Gaza?

The plot twist to Donald Trump now is his new son in law is Lebanese Christian. He’s Tiffany trumps husband and he has more money than Kushner who is now on the outs and not getting along with Trump. Ivanka and Jared aren’t as close to Donald these days

Damn, the cult is going to red circle that guy and ensure he’s marginalized in Pres. Trump’s orbit.

It’s all fun and games when over 60% of Pres. Biden’s cabinet represents less than 2% of the country’s population, but try that shite with Muslims or Arab Christians and watch the mayhem ensue.

I'm not a Jew but it seems to me ..

This could be over tomorrow if Hamas unconditionally surrendered and returned the hostages.

The Israelis are not the ones standing in the way of a 2 state solution. "From the river to the sea" seems to indicate a rejection of a two state solution. The camp David accords were not rejected by Israel.

War is hell, but until the hostages are returned, I would not expect any country to stop.

Hamas offered all the hostages back in October and November and Israel refused.

If you think Israel cares about the hostages, you’re really mistaken. How did all those hostages get taken in the first place? The IDF was told to stand down and watch as tons of cars and motorbikes left the kibbutz to Gaza.

They watched and did nothing per orders.

Hamas did NOT offer all the hostages. They agreed to a deal to release women and children in exchange for Israel releasing proportionally way more Palestinian prisoners. Show me where they offered to release Noa Argamani and Israel said no. Show me where they offered to release Alex Dancyg (who they have since killed) and Israel said no.

They want the hostages alive to bribe Israel. The point was never to waste money feeding hostages just to kill them. They want them alive so they can tell their story about fearing Israeli bombs and about how “nice” Hamas is.
Stockholm Syndrome for sure has a hold on all the hostages. They’ve come to see Hamas as “protectors from Israel”

Hamas is psychologically more clever than Israel is right now. That’s why we see the failure of Israeli PR right now. They don’t realize the way to get to Hamas is all by playing a similar psychological game with Gazans. “hey, look at how they keep the hostages warm and fed and safe in the tunnels underground while you’re up there as human shields”.

There’s an easy argument to be made to dismantle Hamas for failure but Israel refuses to engage with Palestinians verbally or through dialogue. It’s just carpet bomb after carpet bomb. That helps Hamas

...This is not what hostages have been saying after they have been released/rescued.

What ever the Israel state pushes out is propaganda. The state of Israel has threaten the released hostages and families.

Are you really insane?

You are naive. Israelis hate the hostages and specially the families. If you had any connection to Israel you would know this.

All Israelis hate the hostages and their families? What is wrong with you?

Try reading from Israeli sources. The hate is real. Why else would they let the hostages rot? The hostages are labeled as leftist and the families as disloyal to Israel. Those are the more civilized attacks.

You are full of it. Stop lying. Have family there, out protesting and attending vigils every weekend for the hostages murdered by Hamas and the ones they hope are still alive.

Yes and those hostage families are attacked. This was back in May. It is much worst now. Israel is firmly against releasing the hostages. As long as there are hostages dead or alive the genocide continues. So stop your lying and propaganda.

Police charge right-wing activists with assaulting bereaved father at hostage rally
Indictment says Shimon Biton and Uri Harush beat and wounded Gadi Kedem, who lost his daughter and her family on October 7

The police charged Shimon Biton, 63, and Uri Harush, 43, with attacking and injuring an elderly person after the two men attacked 65-year-old Kedem, who was subsequently taken to the hospital by medics.

The fight broke out on Saturday at the weekly protest in Tel Aviv calling for the immediate return of the hostages being held by terrorists in Gaza.
Police initially questioned Kedem under caution over the incident, with him saying his attackers went free.

According to the indictment, Biton and Harush were among a group of right-wing activists who had shown up at the Saturday protest to oppose the demonstrators.

Police charged that during the face-off, another right-wing activist named Avraham Sa’ad pushed Kedem’s wife, Reuma, who was holding onto his sign. As he pushed her, Sa’ad called Reuma a traitor and said: “It’s good they murdered your children, leftist traitor.”

I suspect this is what Hamas wanted. Divisions inside Israel over what to do about the hostages.

I think Israel’s war style isn’t really conducive for saving hostages on the ground. They’ve only saved about 4 in almost a year which tells me they almost never confront Hamas at all in gun
Battle so most Of Their kills are civilians.

I’m not sure why they don’t get on the ground and ask if anyone knows where hostages are because if Hamas is inside the refugee tent camps like they claim, Wouldn’t hostages be there as well?

So you want to send soldiers on the ground to be in the center of people who want them harm? Why don't you get on the ground, since you are that wise, and ask them if they know where the hostages are?

Yes. That’s what being a soldier or even a cop is all about. Jesus Christ, they are that scared of Palestinians? They don’t have any arms or even any food. They’re in camps. They’re scared of 5 year olds?

What a sissy army.

They can’t be all bad ass and all Krav Maga if they can’t do ground operations. No war is ever won without a ground game. If they can’t do door to door combat or intelligence, they can’t even call themselves an army. They’re just an Air Force

Just go and fight for Hamas if you are so brave and so crazy yourself.

The weapons are not sold. Israel can earmark 25% of their aid appropriation to sudsidize their own defense industry. They aren’t even mandated to spend their defense money in the US. They can buy weapons from Russia if they choose. Other countries that get US defense and foreign aid must spend all their aid money on US weapons and they get their money in quarterly payments. Israel gets it all at the beginning of each fiscal year so they can collect interest on the millions and earn more.

It is a special relationship for sure but regardless of all these fancy weapons and money, it doesn’t seem to have made a dent on Hamas or it’s tunnels.

Hamas is impenetrable by the Israeli army or the Gazans and it seems that’s by design and serves the purpose of Palestinian national interest and Israeli national interest in different ways.

The entire region of their enemies now know ground offensives are the IDF’s weak spot because it’s a paper giant and only an Air Force military. They have zero ground game

Yes, indeed, that is why they are faking they did not write the Protocols of the Elders of Zion! But that is just a plot! They wrote it; then they claimed haters of Jews wrote it! They did all this while being banned from owning land in Europe and doing trades they could, as the ruling class would let them! Then they invented that they were banned from having land, and in a genius move!!! They were happy for Hitler that they put them in power with their hidden agenda, and it was worth almost 10 million killed Jews to get a barren desert as their own country!

(this is how crazy this pp is. She will come to say this is all true!)

Do you really think a rich Saudi man went to the freezing cold mountains of Afghanistan and directed 19 men who don’t eat pork or drink alcohol to blow themselves up for virgin wives (in cultures where arranged marriages to virgin wives happen anyway)? All this happened on the day NORAD and US air defense were coincidentally AWOL and on a drill?

Within just a few months of plane lessons and apparently landing wasn’t part of these lessons yet they landed straight into two buildings, they were able to attack the US at four different airports?

10 trillion dollars at the Pentagon is reported missing on Sept 10, 2001. Rumsfeld said he’ll take a look. Somehow the accounting department is directly hit on 9/11 in the Pentagon. All files are lost. What a coincidence.

Another coincidence that the rich family of the rich Saudi in the cold mountains of Afghanistan who tells guys to blow themselves up even though he apparently doesn’t is flown out of the US secretly by the Bush administration. One of the wealthy Ladens were Texas residents and close friends to Bush and Bush Sr. Bin Laden’s older brother Salem who died years earlier in a plane crash invested in Bush Jr’s Texan oil company Arbusto.

What another surprise.
