Jogger Chased and Shot

That is the problem. This thread is full of people who view African Americans as being victims and will then play the game of twisting things to support their "team." Didn't we learn from previous cases that these encounters are rarely black and white?

It's kind of ironic because cops tend to do the same thing.

Have you noticed that any poster who brings up the fact that the jogger charged at the guy with the shotgun is called a racist. This is a key point because it is very difficult to fight someone that is trying to take a long gun. Your option at that point for an untrained person is to shoot the person or be killed by the person attempting to take your rifle. Ultimately, I hope these guys will be judged by their horrible judgement preceding the shooting.

You mean tried to take the gun away from And armed gunman who have been following him in a vehicle got out was aggressive towards him and in an attempt to try to save himself was engaged in a scuffle ?
are you crazy??
Somebody comes at you with a firearm and you’re actually going to try to somehow make the person defending themselves against a bullet at fault in anyway?

You do realize the DA is full of poop?? That account was based solely on the shooters account. The DA frames the narrative in order to give the shooters a pass.

Wasn’t the DA friends with the peeps?

Some property owners wouldn’t want you trespassing, you know.

Then it is up to them to lock it or put up “no trespassing” signs.

It’s insane that you think a person that was followed and hunted was the aggressor.

The only way you see it that way is that you are extremely low IQ or racist.

Looks like we have another Arbery "team" member incapable of critical thinking due to their emotional state and/or affiliation. Who said that he was at fault? It sounds like you don't know much about the law or tactics. If those yahoos would have shot him as he was running away, this would be a slam dunk murder charge. Right now, not so much.

For me it's a matter of right and wrong. Yes, Arbery was wrong to trespass on that construction site and if he took a hammer or whatever then that was bad of him. The proper thing for those men to have done was to call the police and perhaps tail Arbery from a distance so that they could tell the cops where he went.

Pulling guns on the guy was too much. It was two armed men in a truck against one unarmed guy on foot. The man who shot Arbrey was standing outside of the vehicle with his gun aimed right at Arbery - that startled Arbery and it's why he went for the gun. He probably thought that the guy was going to shoot him no matter what he did and that's why he went for the gun.

Dude you think you are objective but you are not. What kind of former police officer would use his own son and a lawyer friend as backups in this "tactical" maneuver. The whole thing had a lot more to do with fired up testosterone than it did with any legitimate police training. The way those men confronted Arbery with guns drawn was cowboys and Indians wild west type stuff. They had absolutely no authority whatsoever to do that and Arbery was under absolutely no obligation to obey 2 crazy gun wielding strangers in the middle of the road.

What are you talking about? I’m the original PP and I am well-aware that Arbery had priors and grabbed a shotgun in a fight. But if you have any common sense, then you know that if the police had arrived at the scene and Arbery had patiently waited, they would have literally cited McMichael for brandishing a gun and let Arbery walk away because he didn’t steal anything. It’s ridiculous that two men can hold another at gun point for a “crime” they didn’t witness, regardless of their skin color.

No, if Arbery has patiently waited he would have been arrested. He wouldn’t have to have done anything wrong. There were three men (one a former LEO) accusing him of wrong doing in southern Georgia. He also would have likely gotten roughed up for ‘resisting’. This is America, Georgia at that, there is actually very little chance from the very outset he walks away from this situation unscathed.

It’s the victims fault that 3 armed thugs hunted him down, cornered him and gunned him down in cold blood. Got it.

You never wait patiently with somebody that is pointing a gun at you. We have had this training at work... YOUR RUN, then you fight!

You never ever ever let somebody hold you against your own will because they will most likely rape and kill you and cut you up in little pieces.

A quote from the Georgia DA's letter:

"Arbery's mental health records and prior convictions help explain his apparent aggressive nature and his possible thought pattern to attack an armed man."

As a black man, America insist that I am blood-thirsty. Sneaky. Dishonest. Horny. This mind-set is as American as apple pie and baseball. In my 52 years, I literally can't tell you how frequently I experience this painful prejudice (and oftentimes from white people who think "they get it"). Truth be told, millions of white Americans (including some on this thread in support of Mr. Arbery) think this way about black Americans (black men, in particular).

However, this country's founding proves otherwise. But that's inconvenient truth for a lot people.

Why couldn't have these men called the police? This reminds me of Howard Beach. White people think they can just kill black people and there are no consequences.
