It’s spearheaded by democrats. Do you enjoy being associated with the defender of someone who raped a child?

Say that’s true? It matters how? Not to me. Also I could now bring an entire softball league to vote since anyone can vote thanks to the council

I’m actually heartened there’s any Republican effort because the guy is a non-entity but I guess when you live in DC and are embarrassed about the capital of your country, enough is enough.

Might they live here and not want to be carjacked? Being congressional staffers and all?

DC “progressives” think it’s fine if illegal immigrants vote in DC but not Hill GOP staffers?!

Nothing like a well funded recall effort to help the Council find some courage today. What a bunch of losers.

I remain skeptical that there is any chance of this successfully happening.

Gasp! Republicans don’t like crime in their neighborhoods either!

The truth is that the vast majority of donors on that list are Democrats. And the vast majority are DC residents. It’s an incredibly impressive group. My name will be on the next report.

It is a very impressive group of Republican donors. I don't know how it will play running their preferences against Allen if they get to the recall election.

It’s a bipartisan list. Sorry you’re disappointed that people are treating this like a quality of life issue instead of a team jersey exercise.

Not even quality of life, but not wanting to LOSE life, like 2 fathers did to 1 carjacker, tragically. RIP. Or want their baby not to get bashed in the face with a brick in her stroller, breaking bones.

Still better than insurrection by a lawless mob.

Not at all related. But let's make this simple. The attempted coup was very bad and the perpetrators should be arrested, prosecuted, convicted and jailed. Likewise, carjacking etc is very bad and the perpetrators should be arrested, prosecuted, convicted and jailed.

Perfectly said. If ever there were a time to all work together .

I think when a lot of folks see their next car insurance bill and then come to grips with the drop of their DC real estate values, a $500 max donation into the recall effort will seem like an incredible investment.
