I’m not picking on Fetterman because he had a stroke. I’m picking on him because he’s a complete and utter fraud.

He’s trying to pretend to be the vanguard of “the working class”, wearing hoodies and carhardt jackets and showing his sleeve tattoos and talking about the struggle of the blue collar people.

The truth is he comes from a wealthy family, has never had a real job outside of politics, and has literally NEVER worked a day in his life in the kinds of jobs he wants his image to portray. He wants people to think he was a career tradesman, like an electrician or a plumber, because he wears a hoodie or a workman’s coat. Nope. He was a small town mayor, and then a lieutenant governor.

The guy’s whole persona is a sham. He’s fake. He’s just a run of the mill leftist progressive. Even the police dept FOP of his old town where he was mayor won’t endorse him.

He’s a phony.

As opposed to Dr. Oz - the guy whose dad is a wealthy surgeon and mom who comes from wealthy Ottoman royalty? Who paid for his elite Ivy education and med school at Penn? That "man of the people"?

Give me a break. Guys like Oz haven't spent one day with the "working class." He glided from prep school, to Harvard, to Penn, to hobnobbing with other doctors and eventually celebrities.

Whatever you might think of his candidacy, Oz has never sold himself as some blue-collar guy.

Fetterman literally is a blue collar guy, having slept in a basement, renovated a community center, built his home out of an old auto dealership, etc.

He came from an upper middle class family but has basically led a lower middle class lifestyle prior to becoming the Lt Governor.

That's a fancy way of saying he lived like a basement bum with his wife until he was practically 50. That's not blue collar. That's lazy.

+1000

"Slept in a basement?" Ha Ha. Can't wait til PP's 45 year old son is home with mommy and daddy, "sleeping in the basement."

Where did Oz sleep? Eliot? Kirkland? Or on the Quad?

Again, your elitist denigration of hard working people is noted.

I'm ambivalent about Oz, but he was a surgeon before going into the media world. I don't think you can argue that surgeons are slackers when it comes to work.

Look, Fetterman has created an image of a blue collar guy from a hard-scrabble town in Pennsylvania that he sells to low information voters. I actually kind of respect his ability to convince people that he is something other than what he is. But, it doesn't take much effort to see through that.

So you’re going to ignore Oz being a con man for the last decade? That’s okay with you?

That's literally what it means to be a Republican. You're either in the Club, or you're not.

Fetterman is a con-man. He pretends to be something he’s not.

Oz has never pretended to be anything other than a Doctor. A REAL Dr, I mean. Not a Jill Biden “doctor”.

1) he is a turkish resident and votes in turkish elections
2) he has been selling snake oil oin TV for over a decade, he is literally a con man

Oz is a literal con man selling diet pills and fake medical supplements. He may have gotten a medical degree, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t throw all that out the window to get rich.

But MUCH more importantly. Oz is a Turkish citizen who has served in the Turkish military and retained substantial ties to Turkey’s elite. It’s absolutely shady as all hell.

And I really really love if the ‘BULD THE WALL’ MAGAs come at me for calling this sh!t out. I never said don’t come here. I said maybe your allegiance to a country WHICH YO UHAVE NEVER SERVED is in question when you actively maintain ties to a foreign (Hostile) power.

I am not a Oz fan. But criticizing over Turkish military stint is a bit too far! Are you saying a Jewish citizen of Israel or a Ukrainian who joined armed forces to fight Russia shouldn’t become a U.S. citizen and run for an elected office?

Citizen, maybe. Elected office, no.

Yes he stumbled a little more than the average politician during a debate but all things considered having had a stroke not long ago he did really well

Nonetheless no I wouldn’t vote for him at this time. Having a stroke has physical and cognitive side effects. It is possible that with the passage of time both improve but it’s not a given. There is also quite a bit of follow up medical appts and monitoring. And once a person has a stroke they are far more likely to suffer another. He needs to put time and effort into healing and that is where his energy will eventually be needed. He can continue to push himself but he will likely burn out it worse suffer another stroke. I know someone who struggled with aphasia after a stroke. It took a few months to get back to a level where he didn’t have to struggle for the most common words and about a year out, he only struggled if he became very tired. It didn’t go away completely it just improved.

Members of Congress get cancer and go out for months for treatment & recovery….including multiple bouts of cancer. Steve Scalise was shot and out of commission for months. Tons of members of congress have serious medical conditions that require ongoing care, including Senator McConnell.

Fetterman will be fine and improve with time. He will have doctors in both DC and PA helping with ongoing speech therapy.

This is truly a nothingburger. The guy isn’t a vegetable, he can think and write. Debate and speech is mostly dead in the Senate.

Is this idiot aware that her father served over a year in the senate with debilitating brain cancer and not a single democrat called on him to resign?

I know. Of all people, dumb f**king Meghan had to open her trap. We all remember her father at the end of his life had SERIOUS MENTAL DEFICITS. But we let him die in peace….oh except the king of the Republican Party who sh!t all over one of the only slightly honorable members of his own party.

The Republican Party is such a hideous group of people. Inside and out.

Every time one thinks Megan McCain can’t get any dumber she outdoes herself.

Her dad was a great guy. How different the world might have been if he had gotten that nomination back in '00 rather than GWB...

The way they went after that correspondent was nasty as hell. Now, we see from this debate that she was just doing her job to report on candidates, not shill for them. Fetterman and his wife can kick rocks with their coverup and demand that everyone keep quiet about his condition.

Yep.
This is why he has done very few press interviews. This is why he does not do Q and A's at his campaign stops.
This is why they are hiding him.
And, the sad thing about the Dasha Burns interview is that she was excoriated by her colleagues for daring to state the truth.

He does not have a stutter. He had a stroke caused by a blood clot. He is also not releasing his medical records. If he wants to be re-categorized as disabled have at it, but there is a big difference between a speech impediment caused by anxiety and one cause by a debilitating medical condition that cut off oxygen to his brain.

+100. I am a liberal dem in PA and voted for Fetterman in the primary, and will in the general, but am very upset at how his campaign has refused to release medical records. They downplayed the severity of the stroke for months. And it will be horrible if because of this many voters flock to Oz, and PA ends up with Mastriano for governor too.

He just released a statement from his doctor, I believe, last week.

A statement from his doctor (who contributed to his campaign, BTW) is not medical records. They have not released a cognitive test. The letter written by his doctor did not include a prognosis for what can be expected in the future. It has very little information about the effects Fetterman is suffering as a result of his stroke.

Given that the stroke was over 5 months ago, it is quite possible that where he is now may be the best it is going to be for him.

Blame the GOP, specifically Trump. They made it okay to obfuscate and not release. I’m not sure why the Democrat always has to lay themselves bare but it’s never required to the opposite.

What a load of crap.

Fetterman's campaign has been covering up the truth for months. This is par for the course for them.
Considering the performance we saw on Tuesday, more information is necessary.

Multigenerational housing is more common in Appalachia than in other parts of the country. You're just another Republican elitist spouting nonsense and denigrating lifestyles they can't possibly identify with...

I really wish you could understand how absurd your post sounds to normal people. I really do…

What is absurd about that post? I would love to hear a normal person explain exactly what about that is absurd.

The idea that "multigenerational housing in Appalachia" is used in any way to refer to trust fund slacker John Fetterman.

Sorry to hear that you're such an elitist that you simply cannot fathom family structures other than the one you grew up with.

Sorry to hear that you're so out of touch that you actually consider a trust fund kid like John Fetterman to be in any way equal to someone who grew up in Appalachia.

You are literally out of your f**king mind if you think you’re going to convince anyone that Fetterman is somehow more ‘elite’ than Oz who literally has millions and millions of dollars after years of scamming people.

Dude - you have your arguments, remember? Fetterman had a stroke and is still recovering. Go to town on that. But you need to make some GD sense. This isn’t even a close call. Oz is an elite globalist with powerful ties to other nations and a huge amt of money. Fetterman is a dude raised middle class in F**king PA. I happen to be from central PA…i the most elite thing there is a well bred dog or pony. You’ve lost your mind.

+1 Here’s Oz at the Aspen Institute saying certain foods like meat shouldn’t be subsidized, so they’ll cost more. Great plan to fight inflation.

He's not wrong about food subsidies. They're government pork, that is given to industries based on their political power, rather than any actual solid policy basis. Agricultural subsidies are a boondoggle that should be ended.

Oh, the irony of this statement. It wasn't that long ago that your carnival barker of a leader presented a doctor's letter (that he dictated) in lieu of medical records. If it was good enough for him, it's good enough for Fetterman!

Which proves his relative skill.

Lying, deceit and fraud are skills that GOP admires. That is why they have such a deluge of candidates who practice these skills in open!

Fetterman also had an elite college education paid by family. Fetterman also glided through life paid for by family money.

Oz at least worked jobs.
