The debate HAS moved the needle waaay over to Oz's advantage.
Psssst...its over.

Psssst…you lost.

HAHAHAha. IF either of those things were true, Trump would never have been president.

His thoughts on policy are clear. I don’t care to hear politicians pander to the camera for sound bites.
He’ll be a good senator.

You don’t think it’s important for a US Senator to be able to process information and communicate effectively? Well you found your candidate I suppose but perhaps you might want to be a bit more thoughtful about what qualifies a person to be Senator. And btw, I’m not at all a fan of oz but objectively fetterman is a dismal candidate even setting aside his health.

Two words: Herschel. Walker.

Difficulty with speech does not mean mentally impaired. There is nothing to indicate that he is mentally impaired or has worse odds of keeling over than the dozens of 80 year olds in Congress right now.

He does not have a stutter. He had a stroke caused by a blood clot. He is also not releasing his medical records. If he wants to be re-categorized as disabled have at it, but there is a big difference between a speech impediment caused by anxiety and one cause by a debilitating medical condition that cut off oxygen to his brain.

+100. I am a liberal dem in PA and voted for Fetterman in the primary, and will in the general, but am very upset at how his campaign has refused to release medical records. They downplayed the severity of the stroke for months. And it will be horrible if because of this many voters flock to Oz, and PA ends up with Mastriano for governor too.

He just released a statement from his doctor, I believe, last week.

A statement from his doctor (who contributed to his campaign, BTW) is not medical records. They have not released a cognitive test. The letter written by his doctor did not include a prognosis for what can be expected in the future. It has very little information about the effects Fetterman is suffering as a result of his stroke.

Given that the stroke was over 5 months ago, it is quite possible that where he is now may be the best it is going to be for him.

"A statement from his doctor (who contributed to his campaign, BTW) is not medical records."

Oh, the irony of this statement. It wasn't that long ago that your carnival barker of a leader presented a doctor's letter (that he dictated) in lieu of medical records. If it was good enough for him, it's good enough for Fetterman!

What another load of crap.

Fetterman is essentially applying for a position. A position of power. He has had a stroke. The effects of that stroke are still very evident 5 months later.
The voters of PA have every right to seek more information about his condition and his prognosis. And, not only the voters in PA - votes made in the Senate affect ALL Americans.
PA residents should also be concerned that their current Lt. Gov. appears to have issues that may affect his ability to perform his current job.

Replace "Fetterman" with Trump and change the letter from one drafted by the doctor to one drafted by the candidate and you have 2016.

Hypocrite.

Trump acts like he is having a stroke (covefefe, windmills)/mental illness/dictator delusions ALL THE TIME, but you all do fealty to him still (don't tell me you don't, your reps have been making pilgrimages to his palaces for a while.

At this point, I'd be happy to vote for a crash test dummy with a Democrat sticker. At least I know that my vote will not go to someone who willingly participates in the current GOP nonsense.

And no, the GOP can't do anything about inflation. Politicians like to pretend they can.

He really doesn’t act like he’s having a stroke

He really does.

The fact that he won’t release his medical records should have disqualified him immediately. Only in America would the press be this complicity in protecting a incapacitated mushroom.

Trump didn’t release any actual medical records either. So why would this single issue make anyone vote R?

Actually he did whilst in office and unlike Biden he actually took a cognitive health exam. Gee, I wonder why Biden refuses to do the same. Also, last time I checked Trump didn’t suffer from a stroke but whataboutism is all you can muster……pathetic.

Not a stroke. Just dementia.

Now do the predictable 12-year-old clapback: “DEMENTIA? WHAT ABOUT OBIDEN?! LOLOLOL!” We’ll wait.

The only pathetic person here is you.

They also elected a man who has been dead for over a month to state Rep. - Tony DeLuca.

They wanted their representative to be a Democrat. The dead guy landslide is a loud repudiation of the Trump party. I don’t understand what you don’t understand about that.

Ah, we’ve found the village idiot.

The idiot is the one who was convinced a carpetbagging quack snake-oil salesman would win.

Mic drop.

So many threads are so much fun to revisit to see all the Republicans posturing a few days ago.

I've never understood how Oz was even a serious contender in PA. The guy had barely slept a night in PA AND holds a passport from another not always friendly country

OZ thought Pennsylvanians would fall for a schtick. Not even a slick one, but just haphazardly throwing around some attempted local language and an ad or two. Thought they'd be all ooooh ahhh at name recognition and a degree he crapped on long ago.

Boy, tell me you don't spend time in Philly without telling me you don't spend time in Philly. They eat that for breakfast.

He was competitive because there are a lot of Republicans who are not at all savvy. Trump has always favored celebrities over candidates of substance. In this case, Oz got a lot of votes from people who watched his show and liked him because he was a celebrity that they "knew", e.g. they had seen his TV facade for 10+ years and liked him. So many voters who did not pay attention to many of the facts about him. Additionally, just like in many states, there are many folks who buy the MAGA line and will vote for anyone who has an (R) next to his name.

Dems have proven that they would vote for a lettuce or a robot if that's what it takes to win the Senate.

And we've proven that lettuce, robots and the brain dead are still better candidates than what the Republicans are putting up for election.
