DP. Here’s a tweet from him:

“MORE: Chicago police tell @ABC and @ABC7Chicago Jussie Smollett's "limited and redacted" phone records were given to detectives at 1:28pm (Chicago time) today.”

https://mobile.twitter.com/RobElgasABC7

Devil’s in the details.

voila!

no more MAGA talk
some other liquid but not bleach?
Rope is not significant, I guess.

And will the REAL story every come out?

Rob Elgas
@RobElgasABC7
UPDATE: After Jussie Smollett turned over "limited & redacted" phone records, Chicago police spokesman
@AJGuglielmi
tells
@ABC7Chicago
"We are very appreciative of the victim's cooperation however the records provided do not meet the burden for a criminal investigation..."

My initial reaction was to be really upset that he was attacked but as the details and time line comes out I'm starting to think he made it up or it did not happen as he reported it.

+1
The more (or rather, less) we hear about this, the more convinced I am that it was either heavily embellished or didn't happen at all. I think the worst of it was making it seem like the attackers, if they exist, were Trump supporters. That is truly awful if he made that up[b].

Of course he made that up.

He knows how to trigger the media.

and that's exactly why this story is going to slowly go away- never to be discussed again by the media. if fake news works in their favor, they're totally okay with using it.

A longtime pal shared the story with me when it broke. She was in an uproar over it. As the story started to unravel, I didn't bring it up again - and neither did she. I am almost 100% certain that she would still side with him if the ugly truth did come out - blaming the media. So I think that it probably is best for this story to just go away . . .

You don't want your friend to acknowledge that "Trump voters" had nothing at all to do with this, and that it was a deliberate attempt to smear them? I think the whole country needs to know that.

Sometimes it's best to leave things alone . . . especially when people can't hear the truth. Instead of commenting on the case, I was given an analysis of Liam Neeson's comment. I fail to see the connection. One lies;[b] the other one is too brutally honest.

Maybe I do need smarter friends.

Racist pig.

Racist pig.

That's such an easy phrase to throw around. Everyone is a racist now.

I'll help you out:
- Everyone has blackface in his/her history, right?
- If you question a story with holes, you're racist.
- If you state that someone is too honest, you're racist.
- Everyone who votes Republican or Independent (b/c my 3rd party vote got Trump into office) is a racist.

What else am I missing, PP?

Please continue the list of "actions" defining me as a racist pig simply because I don't believe Smollett's story.

Please tell us more about how Neeson was "brutally honest".

What is there to explain? He shared how he felt about wanting revenge b/c his friend was raped by a black man.

Do you want me to DEFEND his reason? Is that what you're looking for? lol!

He may have always resented/disliked/hated blacks. (I don't know what goes on his head; I can only speculate.) But this feeling - whether it was "fresh" or not - came out after the rape. So yes, he was BRUTALLY honest about how he felt.

So I'm a racist pig for pointing that out. OK - That's fine. You can think what you want about this ANON poster. I really don't care.

he was brutally honest about being racist. You see that right?

He even said he was racist.

No, he did not.

But speaking on ABC's Good Morning America, Neeson said: "I'm not racist."

Wow. Okay I truly believed him. Why in this day and age would someone a) Lie about a homophobic/racist attack like this and b) do so with no clear motive (financial lawsuit etc)?

Shame on you Jussie. https://variety.com/2019/tv/news/jussie-smollett-attack-staged-1203140464/

Rob Elgas, a reporter at ABC 7 in Chicago, reported Thursday afternoon that “multiple sources” said that Smollett and the two men staged the attack because his character was being written off the show. Brad Edwards, a reporter at CBS Chicago, cited a source who said that investigators believe the “non-cooperating 2 witnesses are co-conspirators in a potentially staged attack.”

IMO, he did it for sympathy/attention/etc. If he was in fact about to be written out of the show, he either wanted the press to be kept on the show or to be picked up by another show/opportunity. +1 to the shame on him. The police time/resources used on this investigation should be billed to him.

Forget billing. Filing a false police report is a crime.

Oh I agree he should be charged with a crime..I just meant he should (also) be ordered to pay restitution in the amount the cost of the investigation.

Fox issued a statement that he wasn't being written off so I don't know what to believe.
