Bullis is losing kids.
Shellenberger who was clearly their best player last year by a mile and now a freshman who played big minutes is gone too. Churchill is getting a good player. The High Point commit also transferred out. |
| FWIW, Bullis still has a ton of young talent. They may have lost one or two older players, but several freshmen saw meaningful minutes last season. I would also argue that the football commit is addition by subtraction. In the games I saw I thought he displayed questionable sportsmanship. The IAC will be interesting this upcoming season as there is no clear frontrunner. |
Losing Ray McGill will hurt them defensively, despite what people say about him, he is a terrific defensive coach. Bullis lost a 4-year starter and also graduated the senior transfer from St. Stephens. Both were studs and no kids on their current roster are on the level of these two. Bullis had some talented freshman on the roster last Spring but Anzelone is leaving and who knows if it others will soon follow. Losing the Ohio State commit, the High Point commit and arguably the best player in the country for his grade will absolutely hurt Bullis next Spring. Unless JB brings in another 6 transfers between now and March 1st (and I wouldn't put it past the administration) Bullis will fall off next Spring. The IAC will be wide open next Spring, the Lil Hoyas might even be the favourite. |
I have seen that player several times in very competitive games and never seen him dominate the game. A good player, for sure, but not a stand out in those games. Maybe he lights it up against lesser competition, but that is not the measure of someone who I would call "clearly their best player". Bullis has an advantage over the other schools in the IAC because they seem to have been willing to go to significant lengths to get players. The senior class across the IAC last year was special. Now all those players have rolled out, it does look like the league might be wide open and the outcomes of games will be less predictable. |

He lead bullis in point production last year when he had the opposing teams best defender always covering him, I would define that as a teams best player.
|
| Anyone know what is the bottom line with the assistant coaches who reportedly were part of the failed coup? I assume they are off to other endeavors? |

Folks, I'm trying to be patient with this thread, but there has been a lot of using people's names which is really unfair when you are posting anonymously and name-calling. Such discussion is not reflecting very well on the school, the sport, or its fans. Please try to keep discussion at a level that will being pride to all involved.

| Word is Bullis kids have several chants planned for the football games is JB is not publicly reinstated. They include stuff about DCE. Could get ugly. |
| Ooooh, football chants. The school must be really on edge. |
| what the F are you talking about football chants? |

Asst coaches going to Prep. Field rental to lax/soccer clubs continues for rental term. HOS is long overdue with a statement. This divisive bitch fest is making the school look silly, put it to bed. The sun will rise tomorrow. |
| I will put the Bullis v Prep game on my calendar! |
Should make for great theater! Connecting the dots, the DCE players remain at Bullis. Their club coaches are all at headed to GP after their failed power grab. If I am a DCE parent with a kid at Bullis, I am thinking really hard about keeping my son at DCE. |

That's too bad. I was liking the Prep coaches after the Giblin era. Thy're dipping their toes back into douchebag waters...
Can wait for Bullis to destroy GP and run up the score. Postgame handshake line will be interesting. |
