But Really. As a result of the changes to the rules advocated by Bullis, because they were upset when they had a great season but didn't get a IAC title, now there is a regular season title and a tournament title. 2017 Landon beat Bullis in the regular season, they have identical records, Regular season Co-Champs. Bullis wins the tournament. This year Bullis loses to Prep in the regular season, Prep wins the regular season. Bullis wins the tournament. So Really. Bullis graduates the most in the IAC. Given what they have returning, they should not be that great, but how good they are depends who they bring/let in. They are known for unusual recruiting practices. Their Headmaster is a GIANT! A man among Men. A Bird, A Plane, TRUMPMAN |

Bellistri is the only coach I know who promotes his own school by telling prospective players, "its easy to get straight A's" at Bullis, you wont have to work as hard"
I'll never forget when the Bullis coaching staff went after a senior from GP who flunked out of school at the end of his junior year, and a few Bullis coaches reached out to the family to gauge their interest in Bullis for his senior season. The family told Bellistri to "we would never consider Bullis even if you gave us a full ride" True story folks, you can't make this shit up. |

Not a Bullis supporter at all or even root for the IAC as a collective, but I find it absurd the inability for any individual that supports a school in the IAC to give any respect, compliment or credit to any other school in that conference, no matter how great the accomplishment. I always hear how fans of universities root for their “conference” if their school isn’t in the final; think NCAA basketball tournament. Or news outlets announce records by conference in ncaa bowl season, as another example.
Not so with this IAC conference. I would think Bullis winning those games would be considered a feather in the cap of the conference, as the most recent example? Another example was the undefeated Landon team of 2017; no credit or hint of Conference pride? The vitriol just amazes me. I was hoping for different as these are kids playing as hard as they know how and the posters are supposed to be adults? Guess not. I do love this sport; just wish it was different in DC with all those involved. Count me as one old guy that his time has passed. Good bye to the helicopter and/or “has been/never was” parents. I wish you the best with the lessons you are teaching your children. |
Yes, you can because you just did. Total lie. |

1. In 2015 the Landon Asst Coaches were told before the game, and a week prior to the game, that a stick check would occur if the coach did not remove the U shooting string. Landon is so arrogant that they did not believe this would occur. As a matter of fact, the officials were informed prior to the game that a stick check would occur if the coach did not remove the stick from the coaching area or remove the U. Landon can complain all they want but LANDON made the decision to make this an issue. Prep and Bullis have no love for Landon. 2. Come to Bullis "its easy to get straight A's at Bullis, you won't have to work as hard" total BS. Never said. 3. Bullis does not go after recruits, recruits contact Bullis first. The coach saves all his texts and emails. 4. Bullis never advocated any rules to make co-champs. It is true a banner will indicate co-champions, BUT the IAC Champion is the team that wins the tournament. Stop making things up and hiding as an anonymous poster. |

Let's try supporting one another instead of putting folks down. |
For the Record, I'll wish well for IAC teams except Bullis. Plenty of their kids are great kids, I admit. Their Admin, specifically the Head, is corrupt. There are plenty of well meaning and professional teachers over there. I can't remember the year, but I think it was around when the Bullis Lacrosse Coach's son graduated and then went to Brown. By the way the boy was a phenomenal competitor and single handedly beat Landon in football. Bullis had a great lacrosse season, I think they beat Landon for the second time in history during the regular season, but lost in the tournament. Boorman was upset and advocated for a regular season Champ and a Tournament Champ. The change was adopted. The Previous Poster is wrong when he claims the Tournament Champ is the League Champ. There are two Champs, the regular season and the tournament. I will not go into Bullis's attempts to claim victory in the IAC wrestling tournament when they scored fewer points than another team. Total lack of integrity over there at the top. |
| But the food at Bullis is great. Tops in the IAC. |
You age has nothing to do with this phenomenon as there was no Golden Age of warmer relationships between the schools. As a long time IAC-watcher I can assure you that there has never been any "IAC Pride" or unity or anything like that ever. This pre-dates Helicopter parents by many, many years. "Vitriol" is a word you could use. Near total "Antipathy" would be a very accurate description of the Prep - Landon relationship for decades. About the best you'll get is indifference. What surprises me is that new people come along and don't understand the history. |
You're surprised that new people don't understand the history? Hmmmm.... |
