Maybe money means more to you than ethics

Bullis is not at fault. The greed of the DCE founders and the helicopter parenting of the DCE dad/Bullis board members are the culprits.

The Headmaster allowed it to go on, and he fired the coach without knowing any facts. Because he got money for a field. What a joke, Bullis never disappoints in its suckiness

Can someone share the email reinstating the coach?

Are you kidding me? Bullis school leadership is the ONLY party that hires/fires its faculty, coaches and staff, establishes the strategic plan and operating budget....not parents, not part-time assistant coaches. Wake up!

Ask people at Bullis. It is DCE greed 100%.

Bullis admin are responsible or should have been but abdicated that responsibilty to DCE and/or the Board and/or parents. Either way, they do not look good. All for serving at the altar of sports.

Hard time believing this is all true, but if it is generally, the responsible parties have to be the Bullis Board and the Headmaster.

Plus, if I am to believe what has been posted, DCE paid Bullis $$ -- how is that DCE greed? They sound like a business, looking for fields to make $$.

I saw at least one dCE 2021 at another clubs tryouts. Could be the beginning of the jump the sinking ship phenomenon?

the school administration from the headmaster down to the board looks incompetent for taking money from a lacrosse organization to help build a turf field.

News flash 99.9% of this is all fake news! DCE pays to rent fields for practice, just like all the other clubs and rec teams do. DCE had their tryouts at Bullis over several days. They also had their pre-try out prep camp at Bullis for 4 days. They charged for the pre-tryout prep camp and for the tryout. Prep camp was not mandatory, just encouraged. Tryouts were not $300, but if you added both the 4 day camp and tryouts together maybe, but not individually. These fees are comparable to other top lax teams in our area. And yes, kids who didm't attend the camp still made the team. And finally, DCE will be using Bullis and Georgetown Prep fields this year so not just affiliated with one school. All teams do this. NL uses WES and Landon and Madlax uses Landon. Standard operating procedure.

Were tryouts by invitation only? The web site never updated with specific tryout information. I believe there was just a "contact us" email link. How did they go with regard to #'s and helmets from other clubs?

JB did not bring any of those kids. Those kids were recruited by other Bullis kids and/or contacted Bullis on their own. JB did not recruit anyone. He was happy to get them, but he did not mastermind anything

I'm sorry but Bullis looks pathetic for rolling out the red carpet to their star junior transfer last year. The administration went as far as to offer the kid' mother a job at the school.

The parents saw all the bullshit that took place at Bullis this Spring and returned back to STAB as a result.

I agree don't blame JB on any of this, I actually feel bad for him as his name has been dragged through this mess. The headmaster and AD are the ones to blame.

Riiiiggghhht.

Those kids just showed up on the first day of practice and the coach was super happy. No, the other Bullis kids may have started it or those families reached out but it was because they know Bullis would be open to the idea. JB and the administration followed through. But, in the long run they got their championships and he is keeping his coaching position.
